Everyone move to Texas I will if Princess does! If not, I am moving to California! |

Some people are not allowed to leave their state with the kids so must stay where the other parent is.. Others wouldn't leave their kids for anything, which I respect and understand... Yeah I know how that goes too. My ex wasn't going to fight me on that issue surprisingly. Till you were to actually take the kids out of state, then it would be the fury from hell!! No cause I wouldn't have left without the custody agreement. And i think she thought it worth it to get rid of me. now who would get rid of you???? tell Joy to pull you out from under her bed and ship you to Texas |

Or is that simply a line we feed to ourselves and others to make people feel better, give them false sense of hope? Is it just as likely some are condemned to live a life alone either by themselves or a higher power as some sort of punishment for past actions? I am on the fence on this one. I suppose a sense of hope, even a false one, is better than no hope at all. I think there is more than "someone for everyone" but it is a matter of being open minded. It may be in direct proportion to a persons requirements. Some have more strict guidelines I.E. looks, money, race...IDK just examples. I'm not saying people should lower their morals/beliefs. I do know women that won't date bald men, or men who have a certain "body type" they want in their woman. As far as being punished by a higher power...who? If you are referring to a Christian belief, there is no punishment. In fact it is said that we are on earth to enjoy each other and be happy. To have love. Have hope, be happy and encouraged. Good luck. |

I'm gonna say "no".
I mean really,..let's say there is someone out there but he/she lives overseas in, ohhh..I don't know,..let's say New Zealand or Ireland but you're allergic to fresh wool which means due to the high population of sheep in these two countries and your annoying allergies, you will never, ever have the intention or urge to set foot in either one of these countries which means you would probably never, ever meet the "one" for you. Unless he/she makes her way over here and let's you share a game of Ms. PacMan with her which in that case, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, which, is probably the case. |

But can someone really lead a life of happiness merely on "hope" alone? I mean, sure it's a great slogan if you want'a get elected president, but, to hold out for true love?

Hello Drank, welcome to Mingle, and kickass first post! To stay OT, I don't know. I think we all have issues to work out, and if we are able to do that, there are MANY "ones" out there who will work. Gotta BE The One before you can FIND The One. |

i HAVE TO SAY NO.

To stay OT? OT? Forgive me? I know not of this "OT you speak of? Educate me PUUUH-LEEZE!
"Gotta BE The One before you can FIND The One." Can I borrow that sometime? What a kick-freakin'-*** quote! I'm okay with my "issues" because as you said, we all have issues. I think the key is to accept the fact that you aren't the only one with "issues" and that one shouldn't hold one's "issues" as a reason not to persue a possible relationship. Oh. Digging the short-hair look! |

Digging the short-hair look! OT = On-Topic. And sure ya can borrow it. I don't own a patent. See, some issues we should accept as just being who we are, because they're a part of us... they're what make us human. But other issues can seriously impair our ability to crush, love, or even get to know anyone, let alone maintain a healthy relationship. |
