To stay OT? OT? Forgive me? I know not of this "OT you speak of? Educate me PUUUH-LEEZE!

"Gotta BE The One before you can FIND The One."
Can I borrow that sometime? What a kick-freakin'-*** quote!

I'm okay with my "issues" because as you said, we all have issues.
I think the key is to accept the fact that you aren't the only one with "issues" and that one shouldn't hold one's "issues" as a reason not to persue a possible relationship.

Oh. Digging the short-hair look!

OT = On-Topic.

And sure ya can borrow it. I don't own a patent. laugh

See, some issues we should accept as just being who we are, because they're a part of us... they're what make us human. But other issues can seriously impair our ability to crush, love, or even get to know anyone, let alone maintain a healthy relationship.

I get the issues = traits or characteristics and wholly agree with ya'. Personally, if I ever knew I had an issue that caused me to crush anyone, I'd want to get rid of it ASAP.
Unless, it was consider like a super-power or something and I could have my own comic book; SUPER CRUSHING DUDE!! I'd be hell with aluminum cans!!

OMG!! Snarky you know me ALL too well!! That damn mouse and the corporation he represents WOULD be the first thing I'd demolish! And wow! That guys chest and arms are almost as big as mine! And who can hate a balloon! Wheeee! HA!HA!HA!
But seriously! Great reply!

I aim to please!

Yin, my LEAST favorite actor is Keanu Reeves. He'll ALWAYS be Ted. Just... no.

Ha!Keanu Reeves. "Whoa. I know kung-fu." Yeah, another really bad actor. Oooo! Scottish. So what part of the mainland do you hail from?

It's in my profile.

Forgive me. I'm kind'a new to all this.
Just for the record, if you look at my profile and freak at my age, just remember, I am not a perv. I just came in here, in the words of pop sensation, Fergie, to "Check it OUT" and have some laughs. Which I've had very much with your assistance!bigsmile

I believe there are many for someone, and in life, we have many soulmates.

I beleieve that if we put good out into the universe, we will get good back, mixed with the reality of bad that happens, which is there to strengnthen us.

I also believe that magnetisim brings us closer to other harmonius vibes, and when one is harmonius, they attract the same, (also in a partner).

When the time is right, we gravitate toward someone more harmonius for us.

I believe in a spiritual joining occours between two people if the powers that be allow, and how we stay together, is purely in attitude up to us, unless the powers that be do not see fit at any point in time.

I also believe that nothing changes, if nothing changes.

“Well, I believe in the soul, the c*ck, the p*ssy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.” –A great monologue delivered by Costner as his character Crash answering Susan Sarandon’s chareacter Annie’s question of ‘What do you believe in?'

I also believe Kevin Costner is a shitty actor, and nothing he has ever said was profound, weather he wrote it or not. I just really think he and his boston accent that appears in every film including him sucks.

No offense.

He's from Boston? Yeah. For the most part I agree. Though I did like "Dances with Wolves". No offense.

nope, or if so, sometimes you miss your chance and you're just f*cked.

I got f*cked once.
She claims she was just leaning across me to turn off the light, but boy, I sure was sore as soon as the lights went out.

Or is that simply a line we feed to ourselves and others to make people feel better, give them false sense of hope?

Is it just as likely some are condemned to live a life alone either by themselves or a higher power as some sort of punishment for past actions?

I am on the fence on this one. I suppose a sense of hope, even a false one, is better than no hope at all.

I think there is more than "someone for everyone" but it is a matter of being open minded. It may be in direct proportion to a persons requirements. Some have more strict guidelines I.E. looks, money, race...IDK just examples. I'm not saying people should lower their morals/beliefs. I do know women that won't date bald men, or men who have a certain "body type" they want in their woman.
As far as being punished by a higher power...who? If you are referring to a Christian belief, there is no punishment. In fact it is said that we are on earth to enjoy each other and be happy. To have love.
Have hope, be happy and encouraged. Good luck.

Okay. So, did you watch the end of "Shrek". I thought the ending kind'a sucked because what it seemed the moral of the story was never give up finding your true love even if your an oger cuz you never know when you'll find another oger just for you.
Why does an ogre have to settle for another ogre? Why isn't he deserving of a "princess" just like the next guy?

But can someone really lead a life of happiness merely on "hope" alone? I mean, sure it's a great slogan if you want'a get elected president, but, to hold out for true love?

I'm gonna say "no".
I mean really,..let's say there is someone out there but he/she lives overseas in, ohhh..I don't know,..let's say New Zealand or Ireland but you're allergic to fresh wool which means due to the high population of sheep in these two countries and your annoying allergies, you will never, ever have the intention or urge to set foot in either one of these countries which means you would probably never, ever meet the "one" for you.

Unless he/she makes her way over here and let's you share a game of Ms. PacMan with her which in that case, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, which, is probably the case.
