Topic: long distance | |

Okay, so I met someone sane here, and we've been chatting back and forth via email and YM for about 2 weeks. Not dating, but am interested, very interested.
How does one handle long distance/out of state? How long do ya'll go before meeting up? Do you women go and meet him, or expect him to come down and meet you? Haven't done this before, so I'm way out of my element on this. Thanks! |

There are no rules, nobody can really answer the questions you are asking.
2 weeks is no time at all. I recommend taking things sloooooow. |

Id expect him to come meet me first, but then Id visit after a while as well.
Ive had a few ld's, and I married someone I met who lived long distance. |

I think he should come to meet you. Make sure you have a round chambered & safety on.

been there, done that. We were on and off for five years.
It took him 3 years just to finally visit me. And when he did he went to prom with me. Could never get him to come back and visit. Always excuses. I also recommend going slow. |

I've always been kinda leery about LDR's, but no both those who made it and those who didn't. Never tried it before.
Round chambered, LOL! I'll remember that. |

There's is no time frame aside from what you both feel comfortable with. Whether it's a day, a week, a month or a couple of years, you'll know when and if the time is right. As for who meets who, again, does it really matter?
I met my boyfriend here, he lived about 5 hours away. After a few days we were talking about meeting and did so two weeks after we first met, and I drove down to meet him, that was what was convenient for the both of us at the time. And we're still together, 2 years later. No rules but what you make for yourselves |
