it can work. did for me. First we talked on the phone every night for a couple hours, text. Pretty much talking all the time, got to know each other pretty well. then he came out to see me to see if we clicked as well in person as we did on the phone. the rest is history. pretty much depends how much time you put into it an if you click well on the phone, try the next step. Make him come to you! so ur still together? It can happen just depends if you click an are willing to put up with the distance for a while. |

In my case she was in England and It cost me about $4000 to go back home to meet her and all. Cut the long story short you may be a very good writer but a very quiet type etc and when you meet one may feel that there is nothing there so be ready for that In my case it did not work so I am done with long distance    I'm laughing at your smileys His smileys are the bomb

I once talked to a guy in tenn.never met in person:
 .Believe that is a good thing. we were planning on meetng it just never happened.  Now when i talk to ppl long distance i just talk as friends,I think that its best that way. Besides I have had enough trouble with relationships in my own state.:  met a great guy on here,now we are best friends ,that's all it ever will be. Have met some wonderful ppl on here and that I am so very grateful for.I also have great friends on another site.

Okay, so I met someone sane here, and we've been chatting back and forth via email and YM for about 2 weeks. Not dating, but am interested, very interested. How does one handle long distance/out of state? How long do ya'll go before meeting up? Do you women go and meet him, or expect him to come down and meet you? Haven't done this before, so I'm way out of my element on this. Thanks! I'm actually doing this tonight! My first Mingle meet-up. He is driving here from North Carolina. We met about 3 weeks ago, I think, and have talked online every day since then, and for the past 2 weeks have been talking on the phone a couple times a day. It's actually a LOT sooner than I normally would meet someone, but he was planning on coming up here anyway so we figured now is as good a time as any. I'm kinda nervous! |
