I have a strange suspicion that Cosmos is a part of some organism!

Someday, when we will invent super-powerfull microscopes, we might discover that atoms are populated by some microscopic beings who are wondering:

WHAT'S THE NATURE OF THE UNIVERSE? ? ?

JaneStar has the hots for me
a seething of sea potpourri
yearning for a chance to be
my one and only devotee

I'll have to write a verse or two
of quaint romantic gobbledygoo
to see if I can finally woo
a woman from the net

Cyberspatial hunting
for a private partner wanting
all the things that love can bring
like a midnight roll of grunting

I finally found a chickiepooh
that I can give a hickey to
we'll have some fun and be as one
and maybe have a quickie too

A quickie? -- what a nasty shocker!
You must've fallen off your rocker!

I thought you had a serious intention...
(But you just want what goes by convention!!!)

I'm just a cyber cad
who lives in a bachelor pad
I never meant to get you bent
or make you crossly mad

So much for quaint romantics
and my playful teasing antics
owl just relax and stick to facts
please ignore my wry pedantics

truth is subjective. what is true for one is a lie to another. his tory is a good example. it is written by the victors, from their point of veiw. it is true that we americans liberated a continent from uncivilized heathens. it is also true that we slaughtered a mostly peaceful, and moral indigenous population to satisfy corporate greed. it all depends on your point of view.

You are probably right on the highest level of understanding that this entire reality is subjective itself.

But if you want to claim that something is "real" you have to agree to an objective reality.

If truth is subjective, then so is this reality. This reality is just a dream or a point of view created by the mind, projected as a three dimensional holographic world of time and space. Nothing is real.

Is that what you are suggesting?

WE KEEP ON DREAMING (ALL OUR LIVES)
UNTIL THE FINAL BREATH...
AND LIFE ITSELF IS JUST A DREAM

the only real thing is DEATH!

no, i'm saying that what one person believes to be the truth is not always agreed to by everyone. so, what you perceive as truth, may only be your opinion. religion is a good example. how many say that they are the only real one, and all others are false. they can't all be right, it is possible that none are right. yet they all claim the truth. by the way, i do believe that what we call reality could all just be an illusion. if you cannot prove anything, how can you be sure of the truth of anything. that is why we have, philosophy, to try to understand what is behind the nature of everything. it is not perfect, but that is why philosophers don't think that they solve the problem, they just try to advance our understanding.

I just created a new Philosophy in another thread. You should visit the thread.

What do you think would be the tenents of Realistic Idealism?

I don't know what that means really but this is how I would describe that philosophy.

First, the Idealism is absolutely the basic premise.

"The ultimate nature of reality is based on mind or ideas. It holds that the so-called external or "real world" is inseparable from mind, consciousness, or perception."

Then, comes Neoplatoism which traces back the origin of all existence to .... a place where all life emerged but that turns out to be a place of non-existence, it is just a force... there is nothing there!

So we are not happy about that place and we turn around and come back to our manifested reality which we embrace with loving arms after having seen the darkness of non existence.

Who wants that? Nobody!

So we embrace our reality and call it actuality and we try to forget the nothingness from which we came.

Realistic Idealism!!
