""""Unless ya just wanna dive in head first and see what happens, which isn't always a good idea.""""

holy sh!t!!! true this!!!!rofl drinker drinker i don't know why that struck me as extremely funny but it did! i've had those experiences in the long long past, and they weren't funny in the least then.

i guess i had the vision of bannisters, razorblades, and shark-alligator pools...

I'd like to know what everyones thoughts on this topic are as I have met someone recently that I have a stronger connection with than anyone I have ever met in my entire life. I'd like to also say that I have never been one to beleive in the whole love at first sight concept, but this person is very quickly changing my opinion.

Love at first sight does not exist, not unlike love itself. Love is such a rare commodity you are better off trying to get hit by lightning or winning the lottery. Better to understand that now rather than later...when it will hurt far more.

I used to believe that too.....Not so much anymore. I guess some things you can't believe or understand unless you see or experience them yourself

Who's to say I haven't experienced it? As a matter of fact I have, and it lasted all about a year...failed, failure is still failure regardless at which point in time it happens. It is mathmatically solid, statistically reinforced...it simply does not exist as abundantly as it once did. If you did come across this rare commodity, hold on too it...because it will probably be the only time you have it...

I feel lust at first sight often. Interest at first sight sometimes. Intelligence at first sight rarely. Never love at first sight. I can't fall in love with someone that doesn't truly know me and like me anyway.flowerforyou

So does anyone think it's possible to know that you are going to wind up falling in love with someone that you have known only a short time? Because that is more-so how I feel than actually being "in love" with them. There's definitly the lust, physical attraction, mental attraction, and many other attractions there at this point.

Experience...it never ends good, always better to just go into it with options rather than limiting yourself to thinking "this could be the one"...just my thoughts anyway.

Oh, I'm not limiting myself to just that. I know very well that it could end many different ways and I am prepared to deal with those if and when it does happen. I am not cynical or stupid, just smitten in a way I haven't really ever been before. Does that make sense?

The first night my dad met my mom.....on their first dance he told her he was going to marry her. He did. They were married until he died. I don't know if he classified it love at first sight, but it sure was something great.

Knowledge is the enemy of faith... and love without faith is not very love-like, agreed? Sometimes its better not to "know"... i think you get me

Sure, but eventually everyone learns. I just learned a little quicker.

I agree, eventually the knowledge will come one way or another.
