one thing that could kinda be in this category, that has not been written here, is that the only way i've seen true love come quickly, or the spark of the start of it to finnish blossoming later..... and not neccessarily at first sight, is in the heart of severe stress and going through a lot in a couple of days. For instance, fighting for your life and hiding, being forced together with certain circumstances, and relying on each other to survive great odds will most certainly blossom a certain love and mutual respect for the person you are with, and the thought of being seperated after so much trust would rather be unbearable, to where you would.....when things settle down be able to work out just about anything, for you've been through hell already, so the rest would be at least smoother. I've witnessed this first hand, but not experienced it myself, and i've also seen it in plenty of movies, most prominent in my mind, terminator, "in one day, we lovesd a lifetime" but in real life, this usually happens in wartime or refugee time like in africa. The experience i heard was in middle america, during some unstable times with military strife, and i've heard of several others from WW2 and WW1 in the nursing homes i've been inclined to visit. wanna learn about our direct history, visit the people who have lived it, and enjoy their accounts.

My own personal opinion -- while I believe it's possible to be very strongly attracted to someone at first sight, I think love is a completely different level. I agree with this. |

I dont really have so much control and strictness about who I love, I try to give love as much as possible in life, and to love. I could love a animal I found on the street in two minutes.
Its not much different in a human being. I only pray that my heart is open enough to love as much as possible. I dont reserve my love that often. However, that love is unselfish, I dont expect the other to love me back, and I dont expect them to do anything. I dont expect attatchment, or deeds, or reciprocation. I just love period. It requires no commitment from anyone else. |

I'd like to know what everyones thoughts on this topic are as I have met someone recently that I have a stronger connection with than anyone I have ever met in my entire life. I'd like to also say that I have never been one to beleive in the whole love at first sight concept, but this person is very quickly changing my opinion. Good luck!! |

I dont allow myself to fall in love with someone at first sight. I most certainly have fallen in "like" with someone.....but it takes me awhile to fall in love with someone.

i dont love ....... i have alot of respect for people ! but love i see you being a very loving individual toward family and good friends that are in your life, just from the way you are on here, and they all respect you here, as i do, but love can mean many different things, for simple very well liked things to the complexities you are hinting at. those are indeed harder to come by!!! i wish you all the happiness possible, and love, elusive as it may be, eventually to be yours....

It's definitly made me think well, it's been a rather refreshing post, and a topic that most avoid for feeling like a fool to ask, and being afraid of the answers given. i think you will see more input from the days to come, and completely different takes and experiences. after all, there's about 1000 years of personal experience on this site at any given time, with all these people. it will make us exponentially smarter in the long run if we stay and learn form one another. And that is exactly what I'm looking for. The knowledge and expreience of others. For you can only truly learn through experience and If you haven't experienced it before then what other way is there than through the experience of others? Unless ya just wanna dive in head first and see what happens, which isn't always a good idea. |
