One thing I'm just getting used to about being an old fart is that you can get away with outrageous flirting with younger women because we're so "harmless".

Being over 50 is not that bad. Being newly single and over 50, well I'm still working on that one...LOL. That is why most of us are here

This was sent to me in a email from someone that wishes I would fine the one. Dating Over 50: Love Meditation Lay on your bed and close your eyes. Relax all the muscles in your body and just be. As you lay quietly envision the type of relationship you desire. See yourself on the beach or out shopping with your new partner. Imagine every detail and try to use as many senses as you can. Each night do the love meditation to bring a partner into your life. Believe it and you will receive it. Remove memories of your past love from your bedroom. Give the clothes to charity. Often this is a difficult task regardless of the circumstances. As you give the garments to charity, imagine the generosity of you and your partner are giving to someone else. Get rid of all the clothing your ex love gave you if it brings back moments of the past. You are living in the present and there is no reason to keep returning to the past as you dress each morning.

I haven't been doing this long but it seems to go like this. You make contact, exchange some info and then no one knows where to go from there. Let's face it at this age we're all carrying around some baggage. This doesn't seem to be working for me at least.

Let's face it at this age we're all carrying around some baggage. This doesn't seem to be working for me at least. if you join in people will get to know you. you're more likely to meet someone like that way. the regular internet dating isn't what it's made out to be. look at me, I've been single for 11 years now

I have become friends with some terrific men here. Unfortunately most of them are not close enough to meet in person. However, I still treasure their friendship and enjoy keeping in touch with them

What is a date? I am always on a date, and I don't try to define it..and if it lasts longer than it takes to eat a date, then I say there are future possibilities....:) If not I am on the road to other discoveries. Perhaps, that's what life is a continuum of"discoverers", dates....:)

I'm new to this site but have had some luck on others. Personally I have no need to find another "life mate" at this point - I'm enjoying my freedom after a 25 year marriage. I look forward to making some good friends, getting out of the house doing fun things, and just enjoying life!
