I'll still go with papersmile and take the bottle of wine on my porch, or in front of a firepit/fireplace, playing some good music, dancing together. And I'll take Olive Garden, Mac Grill or any other chain over a $200 a plate place. I've had those too. Always leave hungry! laugh

Well if you're ever up in Toronto, I have a fireplace and a hot tub. You bring the wine.

You're on! I used to be up there all the time, in Mississauga.

Actually, I didn't mean I'd dance with You, Papersmile. There could be pictures later.

im unemployed, not my fault.... i get unemployment, i date. so be it:tongue:

drinks drinker (((Fetts)))drinker drinks

Thats my broham.drinker

We are both in the same boat bro.

This is the 4th job I have lost in 40 years of working through no fault of mine. By the grace of God, I have always found another job.

Just because ya are unemployed, doesn`t mean that your social life takes a crap. Or that people should treat you like crap either.

I wouldn't worry about pictures. There are some floating around with me in bed with another girl. And if I'm not mistaken, I think Keith was around to take those too!

I have a job, that requires no more than a GED, maybe not even that, but a lot of physical power and no fear of heights. Yes, I'm usually treated as a low life nobody, but hey, I learn a lot about the people and for some people I will tell that I got no money for the specific reason, that I don't ever want to be with a materialistic woman again.

For others...I got some surprises and money, who pays, how much and where to go, never even comes up. For the right woman, everything is possible.

Everyone would like to find someone whether unemployed or not. I think it's a bit unreasonable to expect that your date automatically won't be unemployed in today's economy. However, if someone is unemployed, they shouldn't just depend on the other person to fit the bill for all the dates or something. Otherwise it sends the message that you're only using the employed date as your pay pal.

I actually enjoy bookstores on my own. I've never been on a date in one.

I prefer bookstores on my own. Having someone along is distracting and means I have to try and pay attention to them when I'd rather be focused on the books.

Actually we found something that we were both able to read together and learn from. Well actually it was ME who did all the learning, since it was sort of an American trivia book and Robin knew everything in it already. I got my kicks out of reading and listening to him! He isn't just a good looking face you know. love

I don't work right now, but I was going to school. I am taking time out, because I miss working and once I get that job( part-time or full-time) then I am going back to school. I use think that way toward men not working(I did not want to date them), but I change my opinion on that, because you never know what a person is going though. I know I am a decent woman and I do believe in working and I would not want anyone to judge me for not working. There are all kinds of ways to have fun. Yes, I would love for the man to pay when we go out.

I've been un or under employed for a while. I'm also waiting for the Govt. to give me SSDI. That still doesn't disqulify me from wanting female companionship, weather dating or just a close friendship.

in Fla, and New Orleans, you can't "date" un-employed, and in LA, San Fran, and NY, unheard of. there's just too much expectancy, and the walks, sailing, or driving and zoo's and things are something you do with your date during the daytime, if one has the time. You really have to make the time anymore. i've never, and i mean never, date-wise had some one offer to pay. friends have offered yes, but never a date, and maybe it was the price.... think higher ,lol. never had offers to pay the tip either, and i tip sometimes 50%, for a long time ago, i was in that business, and worked my total ass off, and didn't get squat for tips, and being in F/x and other unique works that i've had the privilage to under-take for celebrities and what not, i certainly appreciate everything that anyone does in my be-half, and i try,,,,try to give back ten-fold. just to see their face light up!!! it's so worth it....
