I forgot to mention "Adventure" on the Atari 2600, it was my introduction to RPG's. Amazing I spent hours moving around a block with an arrow(the sword) looking for keys.

Need to keep this thing going here, lol.

RESIDENT EVIL 2: I couldn't wait for January 1998, because that was when RE2 was coming out. The anticipation for the sequel was huge, and what we got was more than expected. This game blew away any notion that sequels cannot be better than the original. Yes, Super Mario Bros.3 had quieted that notion. RE2 was (and still is) superior to the original Resident Evil (Not the remake). The graphics, cut scenes, action, and the fact that you play two stories in this game all made for a great, great game. I consider RE2 to be the best part 2 game ever made. Even better than God of War 2, Gears of War 2.....RE2 is just a special game.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors

I was addicted to this game back in the early 90's on my SEGA. You played through multiple horror themed levels as a kid fighting zombies, mummies, killer dolls, chainsaw maniacs, aliens, and even a giant baby!scared

Have you played NW2? I've never tried it, but I have played and enjoyed the first one as well. One of the great things was that friends and I who had done pencil&paper D&D back in the 80's are now all scattered across the country, but with NW we can get together and still play campaigns.

The best game ever is always the game im currently burning hours and hours on . .

This month that game is Boderlands.

Its a FPS that mixes RPG, you have classes, talents trees, scaling loot with color codes for rarity, you have skills, and lots and lots of guns some 17 million combination's.

Summed up in a single sentance, its a post apocalyptic halo like shooter with coop where you level like you do in MMORPG's such as WOW.

Huge fun.

nwn2 falls under worst pc game category. They totaly butchered everything it meant to play nwn. il never touch it again! laugh
the interface was ruined, animation looks horrible especialy walking/running, it has a lag behind glich where it may take a few moments to do the skill you click, top it off with it has a horrible engine that runs poorly, and last but not least to play multiplayer you must download the other persons module instead of jut log on so everyone and their dog has full access to your hard work!

hell yes borderlands is high on the favorites list!

Neverwinter Nights was (and still is) fun to play, and is an awesome game. I loved the multiplayer. Spent many an hour online and had fun doing it. It is the only RPG game that I played online. I never did get into Warcraft. In fact, I know of a few die hard NN fans who didn't get into Warcraft either. I guess we were just loyal to NN. LOL!

The main server I played on was called CTA (Call to Arms). When I joined, they were just beginning there second season. Man, we had a blast on there. For about two years we would have that server full just about everyday (limit was 18 I think). I also played on Noctar's Noble Realm, which took time for me to get used to but the guys there were so helpful once they saw that you were a serious player. I tried a few others but those were the two I was at the most. Storm Nexus was ok, but they always had a ton of people on it and not many role played that well, lol.

My experience with NN online has always been positive compared to other online games I've played. Everyone is always friendly and helpful.

Except for the ones at soliria, sigurton, and fourwinds...they were kinda mean:tongue:

I think Storm Nexus had a limit of 75 when I was playing there. A few of us from CTA would go to SN just for a change of pace, but that normally lasted for a day. LOL! I liked Noctar's because the quests we had there were really cool. Not saying CTA's wasn't, but CTA was really RP driven. Noctar's was more of a quest realm (so to speak).

I also remember going to this one server that this 15 year old kid did. He was playing on Noctar's and he wanted us to come see his server he built. So a bunch of us went and man....this kids idea of a fun server was getting attacked by 100 Goblins at a time....and the Goblins were hella tough. LOL! We all died, and then he (The DM) came in and ressurected us and gave us all like five levels, new weaponry, and turned us loose.....we killed his goblins within mere seconds....lmao! We did work with him though. Told him what he needed to do, and he spent a week fixing his server. Turned out he did a good job, but about two months later it was offline. I wish I could remember what the name was.

Deus Ex

I think that was the first FPS/RPG, or at least one of the first.
