So many to choose from. Final Fantasy 4 has been my fav storyline. (2 US Super Nintendo) I am actually playing through it on the DS.

I do love my MMOs I used to do Everquest and have been playing WoW since beta :D

FINAL FANTASY 7 -Playstation :)

Got the Litch King expansion and made my DK on WoW. Then a week later they run the big 3.2 update patch and nerfed the poor guy... so sad. Now I'm back working on getting my warrior to 80. BTW the new expansion looks SICK!

Delta Force 2 (PC) <--- this game got me into multiplayer games.

Perfect Dark (N64) - I was so good at this game I could own 3 Dark Sims on 1 hit kill with pistols only without camping. I've never even played Perfect Dark 2. These were the same developers of 007: Golden Eye.

I would have to say my favorite game to date would be Natural Selection, which is actually a Half-Life 1 mod .... which is FINALLY dropping NS2 on it's independent physics engine and rendering pipeline.. and it's going to be ridiculous

To the guy that said starcraft as his favorite.. NS is based on starcraft, and it's a first person shooter/ Real Time Strategy, except for 1 commander on marines/frontiersmen, and yes you can be aliens/zerg (there is no protoss though).. the link is [www.unknownworlds.com] you should check it out.. there are 1000+ people that have been playing that game for about 7 years now, so it's quite the veteran community.. so don't get frustrated if you don't perform well in the beginning.

Final Fantasy VII

They've done a good job with the last patch of making it a lot more fun for lower level players. Plus with the expansion coming up in the next year you can use flying mounts in all of Azeroth. Big bonus there if you ask me. It's much easier to level when you can use the flying mounts. Also they're remapping a giant chunk of the currently exhisting world. Looks sweeeeeet.

LMAO! I still have that game! Sooo fun on my parents beat up Gateway runnin Win95.

Old Time: "Rygar" graphics like Italian renaissance

For "best" I'd have to go with Half-Life, followed closely by Deus Ex. But then I'm a FPS fan.

For longevity, I'd go with Diablo II. I'm still playing that regularly after 10 years.

It's a difficult decision between Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Final Fantasy VII, but I'd have to go with FFVII

I'd have to more agree with Chrono-Trigger myself. I loved Ocarina of Time, but hated constantly hearing "Hey! Listen!". If the auto-help wasn't there for everything (in the form of the fairy), I think it would have been a better game.

As for recent games, Resident Evil 4 for Wii was absolutely amazing, I haven't played 5 but heard from several sources that it was a cheap rip-off and once again reduced the series to cheese. RE 4 for PC sucked because of the lack of control factor that was present on the Wii.

Dragon Age: Origins is also amazing thus far as I've played it, but I have to say that Half-Life 2 and its episodes are probably my hands-down favorites amongst FPSs.

Hmmm.... There are so many different ways to evaluate the "Best" game... so I'm going to break it down...

Pure, Sheer Entertainment:
Grand Theft Auto 4. Why? That game you can play for hours. Whether you follow the story or not. Plus, the character development is so well done. As you play each character you interact with including the main one, you feel empathetic towards them. If he is a baddy, you feel the hate for him, but if he is a girl that you are trying to get with, you can feel the desire to be with that character in the game.

Story:
This is a hard one. There are a lot of games out there with a great story. But I'd have to give this category to the Modern Warfare series of Call of Duty. In MW1 and MW2, the stories are short, yes, but you want to move on, and complete the story just to find out what happens. Of course there are other games out there that have an equally engulfing story, such as Fable and Mass Effect. But Modern Warfare 1 and 2 take the cake here.

Realism:
Ever play a game and you felt like you were in it? Something so realistic that you could swear it was a movie? I would say this one goes to Gran Turismo 5, but since that isn't out, I'm going to have to give this one to Forza 3. Hard to say why, but I believe it is the physics engine. When you turn, everything just looks like you are in the car, actually driving it. even though you are sitting on your butt in a chair, you feel like you are in the car, taking the corner.
