I wouldn't say it's Obama's fault Gitmo isn't closed. Republicans are making a big stink about it. I think they just want to be heard.

He already is trying to shut down Gitmo. He can't possibly have un-done the war in the few months he's been in office. It's a big mess that will take time to clean up. The McCain ticket wanted to keep the war going altogether and didn't even pretend they wanted to end it. So I'll hang out a bit and see what Obama does.

Sucks that Obama inherited Bush's ******** war and he's taking all the blame for it. All the crap in this country was started under a republican president, so I don't hold it against the current president who is trying to stop it. Republicans scare me. A lot.

I was raised religious, but ultimately I felt happiest just thinking for myself. It really aggravates me when people have a belief or a moral ground that is based soley on religion. I don't need the Bible to tell me that it's wrong to murder someone, for instance. I mean, that's dangerous. We start wars in the name of religion. We discriminate in the name of religion. We do ugly things because we think that's what God would do. And the God I believe in would want us to all execute some common sense... ya know?
