the claim of righteousness of someone who drinks like a fish at times yet, if someone mentions they've smoked weed (a couple years ago) they're to be chastised...

W T H?

It's ok to damage your liver, brain cells and kidneys but because marijuana is "illegal", you're suddenly a horrible person?
Society is amazing in what's deemed acceptable because the gov't makes something illegal. I find it amusing when people are clueless as to why some things are illegal while others aren't...

Tobacco is legal, alcohol is legal, drugs which are deemed later to cause birth defects are legal (until someone has to answer to repeated numerous public outcries)...

-taking a deep breath-

So, I smoked part of a joint new years eve 2006 and again in January of 2007. Prior to that, I did basically the same thing on new years eve. I have been alcohol free for 19 years, 20 this fall.
Now I'm bad, while the one throwing the dart contacts me late at night when I ask not to and initial contact was at 3 in the morning.

Please, help me out here, is this person just covering what she might think I'll find out later or is she really that much of a hypocrit???

Smoke it up! This person is trying to use your one, or maybe more incident to justify there actions or intentions. Whatever these actions or intentions maybe.

Honesty is key. Lets light up and talk about all the hell we have caused.

as far as I am concerned...I don't mind pot becoming legal (with the same laws for not letting children smoke it like cigaretts and alcohol)

but as of right now...it is illegal. just as driving drunk is. if you break the law and get caught...don't complain because you knew it was illegal....you took the chance.

I feel like I will do what I feel is appropriate until I no longer feel it appropriate. If society deems that unfit, then so be it. I'm not here to please everyone. Just the ones that count. :)

I could care less what society thinks of me...but in this case...it's the law you would have to worry about until the laws change. if people want to take the chance...go for it...just don't complain if you get busted

How's this for a comparison?
Let's say someone speaks out about how they never smacked a woman but beats the sh*t out of their kids>
Would that person be a hypocrit?

It comes down to the issue of being a responsible adult. If I got a buzz approximately 28 months ago, come on, am I irresponsible. If I did it in a car, maybe, or out in public, or around some kids. The woman thinks I'm bad because of an issue that long ago, get real...
Me thinks she doth protest a bit too loudly. Also, like I had said, the actions show the lack of responsibility...

there are hypocrites everywhere.as much as we want to deny it in some way we are all hypocrits.i agree pot is less harmless than whiskey.but we live in a society that has laws.we cant take it apon ourself to pick and choose the laws we do and dont obey.there are some streets where it is stupid to have a 25mph speed zone.but i cant go 35 and be responsible.if we all decide to pick and choose the laws we break we become a nation of anarchy.i dont think you are a bad person if you go to your house shut the door and smoke with out any kids around.but like she said.dont get caught.congradulations on for stoping drinking.thats cool.

All I have to say is why would you waste your time on someone that can not accept you as you are past and all?

What is in the past is in the past if you no longer do it now why should it matter?

We all have done things at times that some may not agree with. We learn in life as we go on.

I have moved on without so much as even wasting a phone call or email now. I think she gets the hint...

What is in the past is in the past if you no longer do it now why should it matter?

I have a very stupid policy of answering almost any question put to me (in private between an interest and myself) with brutal honesty. Example: I cheated on my first wife and have no problem confessing it. I have changed in soul and character and wouldn't do it again. Whether they accept that or not is up to them but I won't change my way of doing things.

We all have done things at times that some may not agree with. We learn in life as we go on.

See, that is where you are wrong. I find for some strange reason that some of the ones I talk to, would never cheat, smoke weed, drink too much, blah blah blah...
Get the point? I think what the real problem here is that when I hear that come out of their mouth, I should just let the pursuit drop then and there...

drinks like a fish

That is rather a misnomer. Fish actually take in very little, if any, water. It just passes through their gills.

So, you say you smoked a couple years ago and someone had an issue with it. Why does it bother you? If you smoked a couple years ago, just ignore it and move on.

going over the speed limiit is illegal, even just 1 mph over...so my point is, anyone who thinks smoking weed is a evil thing cause it's illegal but yet they themselves went over the speed limit..that is a hypocrit....funny thing is most who are against it smoked it one time or another themselves.

Apparently how this woman thinks about you affects you, so not sure how to respond save to say, that I dont see this being nor becoming a productive positive relationship (be it friends/lovers/man&wife/gf&bf.

Too many negative vibes here - jmo

But good luck

Past is past. We all have one. We've all done things we shouldn't have. Important things is learnin an movin on. If the person is too much of an idiot to see that you're sharin past experiences with her, to show her the person u are now then move on. NEXT!! shades
