Yes we do. I live about an hour away from Prncs, in fact. And neither of us really felt the quake in question. Now the 1994 Northridge quake was a quake! Yeah that one was a doozie! |

Is it wierd to "miss" earthquakes a bit? I remember "ALL" of'em...and remember getting a real charge out of 'em |

It's a crazy adrenaline rush, because when it starts you never really know how violent it's going to get.

Yah I know...my 1st one was the '71 Sylmar Quake...my bed vibrated to the middle of the room and watched all of the water from the swimming pool wash up against the sliding glass door

IS IT LIKE YOU SEE ON THE MOVIES THE GROUND CRACKS AND ALL Not really. That Irwin Allen-movie crap is just that... crap. Of course, houses NOT earthquake-resistant (or retrofitted TO BE earthquake-resistant) will more than likely tumble, and gas lines and fire hydrants will start going haywire, but the earth doesn't open up and swallow people up hole. Prncs is the one who does the swallowing-up of people whole. |

Have the feeling you might be half serious Moof? I'm TOTALLY serious. Earthquakes are funnier than hell! I remember havin' a blast during the 1987 quake (I was in middle-school back then), watching all my classmates cry like little weenies as the ground started to shake. I also chuckled myself silly as I vamoosed outta my apartment when the '94 quake happened, too. |
