what does a land surveyor do exactly? I mean I know the obvious, but are you one of those guys I see with the yellow telescope things, doing something that I'm never quite sure what?

Well yeah- quakes ARE pretty trippy. That goes especially if you're laying down on a waterbed, too!

Yes we do. I live about an hour away from Prncs, in fact. And neither of us really felt the quake in question. Now the 1994 Northridge quake was a quake!
