 The dont ***** about your schools:tongue:

got me confused with someone else

I dont b!tch

I say what I mean and mean what I say

tongue2
To me I will fight to keep schools a "Local Issue"

It really wasnt directed at youflowerforyou

Are you not interested in what happens outside of your local area???

Franflowerforyou I do care whats happens outside of my local area!!!!! Should I have a say in their school system? IMO No! Just like I dont want a beauty queen from Alaska telling us how to run our schools in SW Florida.

Local communities should be allowed to fix their own problems..

Here we have a GOOD system but still has problems...Growth, UNDERPAID teachers and of course the infamous no child left behind!!! One of our best schools in the system is in the poorest area...

So I say leave us alone, we are doing just fine...

Again these statements are not intend for you but the discussion as a whole...

Oh I was just asking, not taking anything personally.

I can see what you are saying but I like to be informed so to speak. Never know if this is happening right under my nose and just wasn't aware of it.

Posted just for the conversation aspects, as for not having a say, that is where you and I differ. I do not mean that what you or I say can is better than the other, but I do believe 2 heads think better than one and opinions can offer new/different options/solutions. (jmo) Now what you or I do with the information supplied is up to either of us.

As for local communities to fix their own problems, I believe this community hasn't been able to. Should they continue to be allowed to restrain children and children with special needs until the local community gets involved? I don't think so but this is just my opinion.

"Should they continue to be allowed to restrain children and children with special needs until the local community gets involved?"

Whos to say they are not involved? Maybe they have had servre problems with kids. Do I know the whole story? NO....Do I agree with whats happening? NO!!!If the comunity agrees with whats happeneing should I be able to step in and stop it? IMO NO!!!

That allows me to ask if they are involved, what are they doing to rectify problem?

Even kids with severe problems, special needs, I just don't believe in my heart that physically restraining them, face down is a solution. I have seen that used on prisoners and don't believe the same tactics should be used on children (again my opinion)

Like you I don't agree

Should you be able to step in and stop it, who knows, but I would at least try. To me this is like seeing a person being harmed, would I stand there and just watch? NO, I'd get involved, but again this is me and only my opinion.

 temp and I have never fought

hey templ, Rose has an active restraining order pitchfork but don't tell her I told you pitchfork
