I paid over $34,000 in child support plus alimony and I dont needa cookie for it!! They were MY kids and It was my responsibilty to make sure they had all the neccessities in life, thats just what good parents do!!

For example, the father of my daughter left as soon as we both found out I was actually pregnant, because before hand I had my doubts, nonetheless. Now, hes back with his girlfriend that he got with immediately after breaking up with me and let me tell you all she is THE definition of white trash, well like my said, "trash deserves trash." but thats not the point. Now, there getting MARRIED in September, they have four months to plan a wedding, as he once even called? or even had the courtesy to even ASK how both "his" daughter and I were doing? I'm glad I was the only adult in that whole relationship. Because I love her more then my own life. And the kicker, I'm glad his name isn't on the birth certificate. But, fellas, if your going to get a girl pregnant, MAN UP and take the responsibility to help raise the child or the other alternative, adoption, but I don't have the courage to do so with my little girl, I'm way too attached now. Right on LHB....I do my part to keep women from getting pregnant, how about the womens part of the equation??????????????? |

Has this guy ever heard of birth control? you cant just put responsibility of birth control on the guy. like it was stated earlier it takes two to tango. |

The baby doesnt have to have his last name in order for him to pay child support. as long as you can prove its his he is obligated to pay it. |

I can when he's gotten TWO women pregnant neither of which he appeared to be very serious with until they GOT pregnant! Of course it is both the man and the woman's responsibility. I think we are talking about once there IS a pregnancy and a baby, that both step up to the plate. |

Plain and simple too many sperm donors and not enough Fathers. But this isn't an entirely male issue. These days there are just as many "Moms" that are walking away and not taking responsibility either. More and more you see Dads that have sole custody of their children. And frankly it's about time the court system started seeing things that way. Children should be with the best parent, and sad to say that isn't always the mom.

Okay well since no one else has said this I will. You say he should man up an pay for his child.
But should you not woman up and file for child support so test can be run to prove he is the father and give his daughter the benefit of getting child support to help with the things she will need like insurance ect. Even if he does not want to have any contact with her so what that would be his choice but he would still have to pay. And if that is not the road you want to take then it's time to move on and leave the past in the past. For not all Dad's are dead beat Dad's there are just as many women that don't deserve to have their kids and the Dad's should have them. JMO It gets tiring to hear that the Dad is always the one to blame when that is far from the truth........ |
