Maybe not the way we, as adults, define love. I think it's more like the unconditional love children have for their parents. I'm talking about the pet/master relationship, not animal-to-animal.

well they show affection and/or displeasure when u swat them.

my cat who constantly digs in his sandbox shredding it, sits up on his back hind legs ready to do battle, cause he knows i am either going to yell "get out of there" or blow air on him...

and on the other hand, when he is feeling loving, he sticks his paw out, i pet him, and he bites me.bigsmile he gets a swat.

My cats love the hand as some love their godthing.

For the hand bringith all things. The hand causith the food to appear. It makith the water to flow. It givith comfort when good and bringith pain when mischief is made. It givith squeaky and jingly toys for thy own joy.
For the hand bringith all things.

Yes.

And they know when they are no longer loved. :-( One of my PBPigs, Ruby, was originally owned by a man. He got married and wifey made him get rid of the pig. Ruby wouldn't have anything to do with men for about a year.
