I guess first we will need to define "love."
 Then once everyone agrees upon a definition we can move on and decide if animals experience it in the same way humans do.

Good luck getting everyone to agree on the definition of love. All I know is that my dog loves me unconditionally.. Yeah that was the point of the comment. We are trying to decide if animals experience an emotion that will be impossible for us all to define. We could probably agree on certain terms that might describe love but its very personal.

The brains of mammals are hard wired in a similar way. There is no reason to think the affection they "feel" is much different than what we feel in the same way. You love your cat. Your cat loves you. |

I watched a young beagle try to tend to his ailing brother for days if Rusty the older dog was hungry or thirsty Buddy would go to my in-laws bedroom and howl to wake them up.
Buddy would normally wrestle with Rusty but when he was sick Buddy would just lick his face and lay next to him. For weeks after Rusty died You could tell that Buddy was grieving...Is that a definition of Love..I think it is. |

Who loves you more your dog or your ex..Lock them both in the trunk of your car...sit on it if you have to! Let them out 1 hour later....Who is happy to see you? |

Well..I don't have an X...but I do have a dog, a Shihtzu. Between the guy I'm with and her, I don't know who loves me more. My guess is it's close, if even a tie!

do u have little people that talk to u in your head? it is obvious that the dog is going to be happy to get out, and the x pissed that u slammed the lid on him.....and he is going to try to kill u if he can catch u or get even while u sleep. keep the trunk dog beside u at all times.

haley 1234...u remind me of my daughter who is somewhere around your age and she lives in wabash, indiana.
the people in your head....do they give you orders or just tell u to 2 things? this is important. as a registered nurse, you have to follow directions from these little people. forget about pet love at the moment. concentrate on this...

haley 1234...u remind me of my daughter who is somewhere around your age and she lives in wabash, indiana. the people in your head....do they give you orders or just tell u to 2 things? this is important. as a registered nurse, you have to follow directions from these little people. forget about pet love at the moment. concentrate on this...
