No...I am not making a sexual referrence.....
I had an adreniline moment today....the parking brake on a 4 ton fork lift let go...I was within inches of being crushed...(only just below the knees...I realize it wasn' life threatening...But, I came really close to losing my legs.... One of my friends at work gave the warning "OH SH*T!!!"...and my friend litteraly did a adreniline thing...held off a four ton fork lift on idle..for the two seconds that it took to get out of the way..Not sure I can thank him enough....took me three hours to stop shaking Go figure...my hero today is a short fat guy who looks way older than me....He saved me from a wheelchair today.... This is important to me. I am gonna show him this thread in a day or two....Please....someone else help me out and thank Darion.....(If I felt that I could thank the guy enough....I wouldn't be recruiting you guys) |

Darion you are a hero! Good work for watching out!
Krupa is a great guy with alot of talents. I don't think he would handle it well being in a wheel chair. Good work Darion and come to Mingle2 more often. It is a great place to chat and make friends. You see what two seconds can mean! Every moment counts |

Darion.....every one of us who are in similar industries as you and Krupa...SO appreciate alert and quick thinking workmates such as yourself.
It is so easy to become lacksidaisical (sp?) in our jobs as they become routine. I suppose the best homage that I can offer is a promise to not forget that no matter how comfortable I become with my job to loyally watch my commrade's backs and know they are watching mine. When someone has the presence of mind and the "pre-conditioned" attitude to look out for their buddys.......this has a very real impact WAY beyond the workplace. Good on ya...I hope and trust I am working with those "just like you" CHEERS! |

Darion,
What you did today.... takes a certain kind of person and I dont know if it has sank into you what you really did. The thought of losing the use of ones legs and all that it really intails... is a frightening thing. I know because an incredible Surgeon saved me from that fate. I remember the fear in my soul. there is no dout in my mind that krupa knows what you done for him... I think you will have a grateful friend for life. Wish you both the best! |

If you believe in God, thank him for your friend and now hero. If you don't believe in the Great Spirit then appreciate all you have, that you've taken for granted. Its funny how we can take things for granted like a finger or foot, in your case your legs until we have near life experience. I bet you can appreciate walking alot more than most of us can. Way to go Darion!!! Stay alert!!! Stay alive!!!! Kudos to you!! |
