Real injustice yes I would feel empathy, but most of it is a bruised ego on the part of many white males, it's hard for them to give up that power they always beleived was their's alone.

NO I would not want straights to feel the dicomfort gays have been force to endure for decades upon decades, but would I feel sorry for those right now getting all bent out of shape at the news that lawmakers are siding with gays. NO! Would maybe straights having something dear to them taken away be educational, it just might, I don't know. DO I wish for that to happen to wake them up. NO!

Do not discount white males. There is a reason they were the ones to have slaves, not the other way around. When they feel pushed, they will blow up, and when that happens, we all will submerge into another few centuries of bloodshed and slavery. To push them, is to play with fire, umm, may-be even with high explosives.

You're mistaking one for another. Whites are not pissed that they are discriminated against. They can fix that in a second.

Whites are pissed, at the dishonesty of those who appeared pleading for racial blindness. You have to remember, that all the time during earlier, dirtier centuries, whites were justifying themselves enslaving others by assuming that those others would otherwise enslave the white man. Kill or be killed (KOBK).

Finally, whites believed that there are higher ideals, that others are not believing in KOBK principle. Solely because of this, I assure you, the whole emancipation movement was permitted to take place.

To underscore, the whites are not afraid to be discriminated against. They know how to deal with that, swiftly. They are disappointed in equality idea not turning out to be really be what minorities want.

You have mistaken the disappointment with weakness. A mistake like this can cost one his life.
huh

I am not sure I follow you the way you have worded this, but it's interesting that you think whites believed that there are higher ideals that others did not. I disagree, but am too tired today to fight it. Are you are saying that if you push white males they will get violent? And when was that not true? But not all white males are like that thankfully.. I am not following the rest of your comments. You sound like you are being defensive but because of the way you worded it, I can't be sure.

Robert Reich spoke for almost 10 min. From the 22 min mark to the 32 min mark of an almost 2 hr video.

Why would anyone take a few words from all that, twist them, and place so much emphasis only on those few words?

Esp, when there is a lot of very important info given and discussed in the meeting.

What is the true motivation behind this?

There will always be bias in MSM, no matter what the source. Just depends on who ya' boi is, whether the Media is BS or no.

The Media played two Duds and censored other viable options.

There will always be excuses for oppressive behaviors of Politicians.

When one leaves office and another enters, he picks up the Buck, it belongs to them. They oppose it, they change it. They support it, they sign it.

We have a voice and it's not just the vote.

Want something changed or acted on, Mass hound the State Reps and Senators.

Protest.

Join and support, if you are against things like Amnesties and Gov ging our jobs to Illegals, by just signing up with sites like NumbersUSA, FAIRUS, etc.

If you have no money to help support, the head count and signing electronic petitions to stop the progression of Illegals demanding they have rights to invading our country.

You don't even have to leave the house to have your voice heard.

Key word, ACT!

As I see it, there was truth told. Not one iota of a twisting of words.

Yep, I have watched the video.

The point still stands, that Obama policies are racist.

"I am concerned, as I'm sure many of you are, that these jobs not simply go to high skilled people who are already professionals or to white male construction workers," he said.

Of course, if the jobs went to black male construction workers, that would be just fine with Obama.

I am personally sick to death of this white, black agenda going on here. What is this!!??

We are all in trouble here, not withstanding color or sex.

This makes me very uncomfortable. What with all this racist talk.

Whites?? Hello....it isn't a very pretty thing to be called "white" or "whitie" nor is is good to be referring to blacks as less than.. or dumb!! What is wrong with you people??

I learned to be ashamed to be white. The history of "white men" is horrible. They are murderes in history. Want something..take it...at all cost...murder, rape,steal...whatever it takes to get what you want. Proud of that? I am not!

I happen to believe in karma....what goes around, comes around.

My heart change throughout the years...I used to be ashamed to be part Indian...and oh my gawd...don't admit to be German. Hell...who knows? I may have black in me as well. Remember....white slave owners used to have kids with their black workers.

We are all equals...let people all have equal eduacation and working values will follow. WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER!! PEOPLE...ALL OF US....ALL COLORS...ALL PEOPLE.

This needs to stop. I am hearing bad things here. I see attitudes that start wars.

I am German French and English, and Kat, you just made me think that at certain times I was uncomfortable with one of the three because of what people around me where saying. What you said is very true and very sad. People do horrible things to each other and have forever. It's a bit hard not to see things that people say even here in Mingle, and not take them to heart, but it's also disturbing that we make assumptions about topic such as this that jump to the first conclusion that Obama is racist.

Personally I do not see that at all and I stand by my comments that no one was saying that Mexicans and Black should be served first, and it's wrong to assume that it was meant the way that Fox portrayed it.

I am curious if you thought Obama was racist when you voted for him, Nogames? If you think his policies are racist is it a stretch to think you believe he is?

Who needs to see the video? How long has affirmative action been around?Minorites automaticly get higher test scores on college exams sometimes up to 20% more. That video is old news.I heard about that shortly after Obama took office. As usual the people getting railroaded is the white male.Under federal law if you apply for a job and minorites and women apply the same time with you then they have to give the minorites or women the job before they offer it to you.

If you want things to be equal then stop kicking the white male.

Everyone gets the same job oppertunity...except for the white male
Everyone gets the same test scores..Except for white men and women
Give the illegal aliens free health care and welfare but the the Americans.

Affirmative Action Law & Legal Definition

Affirmative action is the process of a business or governmental agency in which it gives special rights of hiring or advancement to ethnic minorities to make up for past discrimination against that minority. Affirmative action has been the subject of debate, with opponents claiming that it produces reverse discrimination against Causcasians. Affirmative action programs are governed by a number of overlapping laws. A common principle is that whether for admissions or employment, affirmative action programs such as targeted recruitment and goals are encouraged to remedy past effects of discrimination; quotas are disfavored. Affirmative action in American employment law has evolved through a series of governmental proclamations, court decrees, and voluntary programs instigated by employers in the private sector. Private employers who receive no public funding are not required to adopt affimative action policies. Affirmative action policies are enforced by the entities adopting them if they are voluntary, while affirmative action policies required by government mandates can be enforced through the legal system.

For federal contractors and subcontractors, affirmative action must be taken by covered employers to recruit and advance qualified minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and covered veterans. Affirmative actions include training programs, outreach efforts, and other positive steps. These procedures should be incorporated into the company’s written personnel policies. Employers with written affirmative action programs must implement them, keep them on file and update them annually.

The contents of both voluntary and mandatory affirmative action plans are essentially the same. The Office of Federal Compliance Programs (OFCCP) oversees the administration of plans for private entities which are government contractors under either a construction or non-construction contract.

Affirmative action policies vary. The following is an example of a university's affirmative action policy: "... is committed to ensuring that all educational programs and personnel actions including application, hiring, promotion, compensation, benefits, transfer, layoffs, training, tuition assistance, and social and recreational programs are administered without regard to race, color, sex (except where sex is a bona fide occupational qualification), sexual orientation, religion, national or ethnic origin, age (except where age is a bona fide occupational qualification), disability, or status as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam Era. The University's policy is applicable to faculty and other employees, applicants for faculty positions and other employment, and applicants to educational programs and activities. This policy is fundamental to the effective functioning of the University as an institution of teaching, scholarship, and public service.

University of Michigan officials may have felt they had no choice but to contrive a distinction between quotas and ethnic bonus points. Between 1995 and 1998, the school was running a two-tiered system that admitted preferred minorities under one set of criteria and admitted whites, Asians and others under another set of criteria. Jennifer Gratz, who had the grave misfortune to be born white, (in this case, her government-preferred status as a woman was not enough to offset her nongovernment-preferred status as a white) was denied admission while minorities without her extracurricular and educational achievements were admitted. She and other plaintiffs sued, charging that the two-tier system discriminated against her. Mr. Duggan agreed the old system was illegal. The University of Michigan may yet have to compensate her for violating her constitutional rights.

Of course, by tweaking the 20-point entitlement down to 15 points or up to 30 points, the school can achieve whatever quota it wishes. Skin-color bonuses are just quotas by another name. The decision, if upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, guarantees not just that consideration of race remains official government policy, but that henceforth judges will be looking over the shoulders of school administrators to determine when the skin-color bonus is too high or, perhaps, not high enough.

Thomas,

You said, "Obama's policies are racist."

I asked you to show one me one of his racist policies.

You gave me Affirmation Action?!

"The term "affirmative action" was first introduced by President Kennedy in 1961 as a method of redressing discrimination that had persisted in spite of civil rights laws and constitutional guarantees. It was developed and enforced for the first time by President Johnson."

http://www.infoplease.com/spot/affirmative1.html

You also said, "Ha,ha,ha that black man caring about the white people!Have to see that to believe it."

For crying out loud, he was raised by his white grandparents.

Btw, calling our President, "that black man" sure sounds racists to me.

Not even gonna read all the posts on this one. Would just tick me off I imagine LOL But did you really NOT see this coming? The whole election was influenced by race, and the racists formed a block and voted the biggest one of the lot into the white house. Anyone who has any questions about whether or not those two are flaming racists just has to read the wench's thesis. It is all there. Throw in a few speeches by Wright, and it is indisputable (don't forget BO was in a position of power within the "church" and could have shut him down any time, but instead was such a devout worshiper he even had that scum marry him and baptise his kids!

Ever since the PC and AA BS started, white males have been severely discriminated against, but the hypocrites will call it anything but. The double standards on racial issues are my biggest gripe, same as with gays, or anyone else. But expect to see much more of the same.

Winx, just caught your post as I was looking for the one I just added. And by way of clarification, you might want to remember that BO was ABANDONED BY HIS WHITE MOTHER, so she could go traipsing around the globe chasing her own interests, instead of being a mother. Ask, and most kids in foster or any other alternate care, usually want their parents back. And her doing this at such a young age, could very well be part of what incited his hatred toward whites.

Also, if you have seen AA in action, you would know that it is INCREDIBLY racist, in EVERY way. You want fair across the board, lose those stupid boxes and any reference to race. Make it a non factor, instead of the launching pad for unqualified minorities and the means to hold back whites, THAT IS WHAT IT IS. Had to hire a lot of deadwood, according to color only, when I had to work for the govt. And ya know what? When the dead wood gets to be too much for one unit to deal with, because the lack of job performance is putting them all behind, they PROMOTE the loser just to get rid of him. No lie, seen it. That is the REALITY of AA.
