Tears are falling fast. Tears for now, tears for the past. Will we grasp the meaning of this war? Or grasp the reality, the insanity, of any war that came before? So many, and "in the name of God," but that's just a facade, smoke and mirrors. "For Oil We Stand, Divided We Thrive" so the motto seems. The American Dream? Western Imperialism at its best? Do we honestly invest to systematically oppress, depress, stress, cause unrest among other peoples, other nations? "They" must be contained so resources are gained, strategic sites obtained. Oh, but we can explain! The “communists are coming,” and now the terrorists. There's no error as to who THEY are; "they wear scarves" so of course we're alarmed! “We” wear suits, yes, we're civilized, and deny any blood on our hands! Can't we just get our people to blindly understand we're under attack? And so, the beat goes on....and so do the bombs.... ~© JDS 04/06/2009~ insightful perspective... Ty for reading and commenting JR... |

SOLDIERS OF PEACE
The day is dawning when soldiers will be soldiers of peace, released from the confines of mind, from the lies that blind to Love's awareness. Gone will be the days of careless "Yes Sirs!," the very words that keep the many from questioning life threatening commands, life taking demands. Someday, someway, humankind will take a stand and insist "We will not kill to fulfill the dreams of rapacious elites, or for those who live by any creed dictating worldwide deceit." ~© JDS 04/18/2009~ |

Wow! Some really powerful writes! Hatred and ignornance will most likely lead to pain or death. This world is too beautiful and too good to keep doing this to ourselves!

HE CRIED
He cried when he tried to walk but could not; he felt his legs.... only phantom pain. He cried as he tried to write, only a reminder his hand had been blown away by roadside bomb. "I live in this chair daring to give voice to the injustice of war, where I was chewed and spit out when no longer of use." "For whom did I kill? For what did I fight? I now sit alone as I ponder war's plight." ~© JDS 04/20/2009~ |
