... how painfully liberating it is to be able to objectively critique ones government.

... how painfully emancipating it must be to admit a collective & national complicity.

... for it is this honesty and virtue of spirit Angel, that has defined you as of a caliber celestial & evolved.flowerforyou

Yes, it is both painful and liberating....I think we are all confronted, on some deep level, with having to ask, as "Neo" did in the movie The Matrix, which pill will or do or did we choose to swallow.....the red one or the blue one?

Wouldn't it be utilitarian if Courage... Conscientiousness ... Transparency .... and Love could be achieved by way of a PILL.
Tell you what Angel.... I surmise that if these virtues were pharmaceutically available, they would be the least profitable to the manufactures and no reported case of overdose or prescription abuse would be recorded.

Wow. Love the concept....flowerforyou

WHO IS THE ENEMY?

Who is the enemy?
Is it you or me?
I see we both have
eyes that speak,
that seek Truth.
I see we both have
ears to hear. Do
we really feel so
differently?

I see we both bleed.
Do we have the same
needs? Do we live
the same creed? Are
we to blame for
the deeds we're
about to enact?
Are the decks
stacked against us
as we stand here
in the cold,
holding
our weapons close,
'cause God only knows
someone's got to die.

Do we live or die
in the lies?
Ignore the cries,
ignore what's right?

As we stand face to
face, can we place
our ammunition down
falling to the ground
in recognition that
we are one and the
same? Could it be
that easy in this
hell called shame?

Yes, it could be that
easy if we let it.
No one has to die:
no, not you, not I.

We put the killing
machines down and
fall to our knees.
We finally see our
Truth is one and
the same; no one wins
in the game called
violence. Silence
stops us in our
tracks.

We refuse to attack,
turning our backs on
the status quo, 'cause
we both know this tale
of woe. We have family
and children who are
waiting. Let's stop
the hating and go
home. We chose to
live inside of LOVE;
yes, we’ve both had
enough. I won’t call
your bluff, and you
won’t call mine.

Tears are falling fast.
Tears for now, tears
for the past.

Will we grasp the
meaning of this war?
Or grasp the reality,
the insanity, of any
war that came before?

So many, and "in the
name of God," but
that's just a facade,
smoke and mirrors.
"For Oil We Stand,
Divided We Thrive"
so the motto seems.
The American Dream?

Western Imperialism
at its best? Do we
honestly invest to
systematically
oppress,
depress,
stress,
cause unrest among
other peoples,
other nations?

"They" must be
contained so resources
are gained, strategic
sites obtained. Oh,
but we can explain!
The “communists are
coming,” and now the
terrorists. There's no
error as to who THEY
are; "they wear scarves"
so of course we're
alarmed!

“We” wear suits, yes,
we're civilized, and
deny any blood on our
hands! Can't we just
get our people to
blindly understand
we're under attack?

And so, the beat goes
on....and so do the
bombs....

Bomb The World (Armageddon Version) :Michael Franti

I don't understand the reason why
You tellin' us all that we need to unify
Rally round the flag
And beat the drums of war
Sing the same old songs
Ya know we heard 'em all before

You tellin' me it's unpatriotic
But I call it what I see it
When I see it's idiotic
The tears of one mother
Are the same as any other
Drop food on the kids
While you're murderin' their fathers
But don't bother to show it on CNN
Brothers and sisters don't believe them
It's not a war against evil
It's really just revenge
Engaged by the poorest by the same rich men
Fight terrorists wherever they be found
But why you not bombing Tim McVeigh's hometown?
You can say what you want propaganda television
But all bombing is terrorism

(chorus)
We can chase down all our enemies
Bring them to their knees
We can bomb the world to pieces
But we can't bomb it into peace
Whoa we may even find a solution
To hunger and disease
We can bomb the world to pieces
But we can't bomb it into peace

911
Fire in the skies
Many people died
And no one even really knows why
They tellin' lies of division and fear
We yelled and cried
No one listened for years
But like, "who put us here?"
And who's responsible?
Well, there's no debatin'
Cause if they ask me I say
It's big corporations
World trade organisation
Tri-lateral action
International sanctions, Satan
Seems like it'll be an endless price tag
Of wars tremendous
And most disturbingly
The death toll is so horrendous
So I send this to those
Who say they defend us
Send us into harm's way
We should all make a remembrance that
This is bigger than terrorism
Blood is blood is blood and um
Love is true vision
Who will listen?
How many songs it takes for you to see
You can bomb the world to pieces
You can't bomb it into peace

(chorus)
Power to the peaceful
And I say, love to the people y'all
Power to the peaceful
And I say, love to the people y'all

"It's not a war against evil

Truly.

Think Instead of all the Moms
by Abra

A Christian nation denies their Christ
and follows the ways of the poltergeist
"An eye for an eye!" they scream in vain
commanding their armies to go insane

Murder those who threaten us!
For in our God we have no trust
we don't believe in what he said
we won't feel safe till all are dead!

We've lost the heart of our belief
and now we're out to spread the grief
Only bombs can save our face
we have no faith in our savior's grace

We're hypocrites we must confess
our greediness has caused duress
"One Nation Under God"
is now a mere façade

We only trust our bombs
and drop them on Saddams
and kill the little children
of the brokenhearted moms

But now our leader's changed
perhaps our new one's not deranged
over time the wounds may heal
the 8-year reign may seem surreal

Leave the future to Obama
and like Christ taught forgive Osama
Don't support the violence
not even through your silence!

Speak out against atrocities
and biased animosities
diplomacy's the only means
to bring world peace without the screams

So calm your heart and heal your soul
let love and peace become your goal
don't support the dropping bombs
but think instead of all the moms

... how painfully liberating it is to be able to objectively critique ones government.

... how painfully emancipating it must be to admit a collective & national complicity.

... for it is this honesty and virtue of spirit Angel, that has defined you as of a caliber celestial & evolved.flowerforyou
