Yeah, let's just TRUST the bill is ok drawn up by our Government that has done such a bang up job of protecting our rights. . who said to trust the bill??? |

HAVE YOU READ THE BILL???? or are you just spreading what others interpret the bill to say because they are readingbetween the lines and forming this conclusion? have you checked in to ALL sides of this??? I suggest you read the bill...research all sides....then if you have questions or concerns, contact your congress man/woman. The thing that really bothers me about the bill is it's vagueness. Still got more reading to do though. It is important to do ones own investigating. I just have trust issues i guess... |

drivin...as you should. no one should follow anything blindly. WHICH is why I suggested to read the actual bill and not follow what one side says. and to do research and ask questions. then if there is still a problem...contact your rep. enough publicity (good or bad) can make politicians do things. no politician wants bad press or to look worse. but the sky isn't falling in all cases either

I just have trust issues i guess... same here and always have i don't trust big business and never have & i don't want myself or my Family or any one else & their Families to be led like sheep to the slaughter The Bills are sinister carefully & strategically planned & worded of course they don't want their unscrupulous deceptions to be uncovered |

No problem Rapunzel. Everyone has their rights to their beliefs. I personally believe that if there is a doubt and lots of documentation to cause concern from "the people",I tend to side with the people. Because WE are the ones that have to live with benefits or consequences. And unfortunately, there has been many in the past. (ie, the bail out of AIG and the banks) Hope they enjoyed their bonuses at our expense! In that vein, I understand the reading between the lines. Whenever there is a doubt, throw the bill out!

again...no one is saying to blindly trust the government...that would be insane

You keep making the point to quote my statements...ok. Sorry Rose but you are the only one using "blindly trusting". I never did, nor implied it. I implied reading the bill itself doesn't make it fact. Especially when you consider the source. ESPECIALLY when their is lots of documentation to show a fear. Yes the bill "says" certain things, but when people who are directly involved with the situation start being concerned then I have true issues with "trusting" the bill. When in doubt...throw it out! |

let's hope & pray that the sky isn't falling I kinda hope the sky doesn't fall. I've gotten used to it where it is |

and I was referring to your post about trusting the government...no one said that. but when anyone trusts something without even reviewing all sides and makes a decision based on one side...it is blind. if you read my posts...i suggested reading the actual bill, do research on all sides, then contact your rep. I never said there isn't a problem with the bill. i IN FACT said it is vague. that's why people need to contact their reps to make it more specific. I don't trust the government with much of anything...they are politicians. but there is too much in the world already without looking for things. nothing wrong with keeping an eye out and voice concerns...but I will do research on all sides instead of trusting an email. i don't think the sky is falling nor do i think it's all rainbows and sunshine either. and I do know people that this would effect and would fight against it...but i so far have seen nothing to panic about

Im so glad that you will do research on all sides. I do have issue with someone trying to vehemently warn others of an issue that we all would not have necessarily known about, and people saying "I dont think the sky is falling" "or nothing to panic about". Who said the sky was falling, who said we should panic? I have heard concern and people actually checking into it. Which is a good thing!! God Bless America! |

read previous posts about that. there are extremes on all sides. trust me...this has been debated before on this very subject. and if you come into this forum often enough...yu would know exactly what i was referring to

I do my own research on things before i decide. the media...just as politicians...have their own agendas. again...if there are concerns...speak to your reps. force them to make the bill more specific. but i have not seen where the bill makes organic farming illegal.

"I do have issue with someone trying to vehemently warn others of an issue that we all would not have necessarily known about, and people saying "I dont think the sky is falling" "or nothing to panic about". "
Who said the sky was falling, who said we should panic? You dont have to be on the forums daily or be a brain scientist to respect the opinions and warnings of others without "trying" to make them look like they "their sky is falling". In my opinion you have made your point. But berating someone elses views and beliefs by saying such things is simply not right. I personally, am done debating this issue with you. My point has been made. |
|

wrong...I wasn't berating her opinions. i also have mentioned that it isn't rainbows and sunshines. i was showing 2 extremes that I don't believe in. everyone is entitled to post topics and such...just as everyone is entitled to give their opinions on the subject. and like I have said before...and i'll say it again....the bill IS vague...so speak out to those that can change it...and do research of your own.
