I read the entire bill and do not see anything in it that refers to requiring food producers to apply pesticides, herbicides or otherwise change thier processes except to require stricter compliance and REPORTING of existing food safety laws and safety PLANS.

This will definately make it harder to be in compliance for all farmers but theres nothing that I see in it that makes organic farming illegal now or in the future.

Anything that adds another layer of government oversight and control is unneeded. We already have Monsanto GMO seeds and chemical soaked soils. We irradiate our food. The corporate farm lobby (#2 biggest lobby behind AARP) doesn't need anymore help. The independent farmers are being squeezed hard enough. Don't we already have and FDA,USDA and whoever else gets in on the action?

I'm certainly no expert in this field. In my limited knowledge, the bill doesn't sound too good to me. Hopefully, Samson or Apex, who are much closer to the industry will impart some valuable knowledge here. I just don't see the benefits outweighing the costs
in this one...or even coming close.

READ THE ACTUAL BILL. Don't forget all the recalls lately. such as peanuts having Salmonella....

relying on an email or one sided videos or links doesn't help. research all sides and he actual bill itself.

I personally don't eat raw foods. My aunt however is a vegan and very organic. I would love to sit down and chat on this subject with you, your daughter and who they work with. the bill doesn't state what the email claims. alot of the bill IS vague but it is for food safety. so if the government DOES infringe on certain rights...call them on it...fight it in court. but i don't see where this bill states what the email says.

i have yet to see anything different than what I have posted. all I see is hysteria. contact your congressman/woman and ask them to make the bill more specific before being passed. tell them your concern. but again....i don't see where the ACTUAL bill states what the email does

I checked out your links and found nothing but hysteria and panic. i hav also read the bill....have you read it yet? not to mention....i was already in on the debate on this before.

all I see is that the bill maybe too vague in areas which is what is causing the hysteria. but i will NOT just take the word of an email. i do my own reseach and come to my own conclusions

I have no problem with people enjoying organic food...but if it is sold to the public then YES....there needs to be procautions over the food. insects, rodents and such can make the food unsafe and make people very sick.

HAVE YOU READ THE BILL???? or are you just spreading what others interpret the bill to say because they are readingbetween the lines and forming this conclusion? have you checked in to ALL sides of this??? I suggest you read the bill...research all sides....then if you have questions or concerns, contact your congress man/woman.
