I don't think the solution will happen any time soon. Too many companies depend on them - fruit growers, etc. I don't think enough Americans want to pick fruit, tobacco, etc.

Who are you to say Americans and/or Legal Immigrants wouldn't do those jobs?
How many homeless and out of work people have you interviewed to come you that conclusion?

He promised during a speech to La Raza to get an Amnesty passed. If he don't, he will lose all Hispanic support. On some Hispanic websites, they are wondering if he was just blowing smoke for the vote

Who am I to say? I just know from what I've read and the few illegals and legals that I know. I've read about how many of us don't want that kind of work. Why the attitude?

Got a little hormonal.
We are being told by the Feds to hunker down when there are ways to open up the market.
I agree the best solution would be to go after the Employer who hires them.
FYI, there has only been one major raid on an Employer of Illegals since Obama took office.

He promised during a speech to La Raza to get an Amnesty passed. If he don't, he will lose all Hispanic support. On some Hispanic websites, they are wondering if he was just blowing smoke for the vote. If he does get an Amnesty passed, he will have the vote of 12 to 18 million, for now, Illegals.

People are saying Amnesty won't happen. I say, very possible. On one side you have a majority who says,"Go Obama, he's our boi!", and on the other side they say,"We'll go along with it if you'll add some pork we want."

You can't even blame this on Obama, Bush was all for making the illegals legal. Obama has been in office for 2 months, TWO MONTHS!!! You act like he has been at if for years, damn.slaphead

not all the employers are "dirty". some are just trying to run a business and get the best help possible.

If by hiring Illegals is trying to run a business or get the best help, they are dirty, and I'm 98% sure are committing a felony.

illegality doesn't necessarily equate to immorality or even to "wrong".

The only thing I can refer to is what is stated in the Law.
I'm attempting to point out ways Americans and/or Legal Immigrants can have a better life and not have to hunker down as much or starve to death.

you have a very good point. it's illegal to fish without a license but there is no moral reasoning for it to be wrong.

I understand your compassion. It is a hard thing when our own are suffering to go tell the Illegal, who's been exploited this long, they have to go back to their own country.
I have to place the well being of fellow Americans and the Legal Immigrant ahead of the needs of the Illegal and their exploiters.

i wish we would have left this country to the human beings instead of taking it from them.

I guess you do not understand that quite a few legal citizen Hispanics do not want Amnesty so that "promise" is not going to ensure votes and Obama knows that. He hasn't got around to the illegal issue yet. He has only been in office for two months, 6 weeks. Amnesty is not a popular item. It wasn't when Bush was in office.

I am one of the most understanding people I know about the plight of the illegals and I am not for blanket Amnesty. I believe they should have some penalty for illegally entering the country, even if it is just a fine of some kind.

As for the language thing, the more different languages that are spoken here in this country the more diverse we will be and I think it is great.

This topic is why I don't believe the current Amin. has any intent on creating or saving jobs for the American Citizen or the Legal Immigrant.
If they were, ICE would be showing more positive results instead of token roundups.

well illegal opr not here in the UK the most commonest name is MOHAMMED. at least the US does have some form of border controls. over here its first into a back of a truck. and WALLAH. Once they are in the UK.
Whats to be done // Very easy Deportation. / and visa overstays OUT. Here in the UK we are so lenient. They get social funds housing . The indigenous population are low down in the pecking order. Its a wake up sign not to be ignored

Then why not compete for the jobs the Non-Americans and or illegal immigrats are taking?

Guess I just get tired of hearing all the complaints about how illegals (this/that). Important fact, some are are willing to work for less, some work in deplorable conditions, but they work.

I work for a living and will have to do it for the rest of my life (unnless I win the lotto but then again I don't play). I see things rather simply.

If I am qualified for a particular job, I go after it. If it means I have to make less to start, then so be it, as I am sure of my qualifications. But what I will not do is sit on the sidelines (speaking only for myself) complaining about how this person or that person got the job over me.

I cannot see the logic in not trying or accepting defeat without attempting to remedy the situation.
