maybe "family values" are more an ideal than anything else. maybe it's what we hold in front of us to strive for...maybe it's what reminds us to behave.

everyone screws up. it's our response to said screw-up that counts.

I like that actually. we have all seen someone screw up and then turn themselves around, but we all too often focus on the initial screw up. I don't like family values tossed around to intimidate those that might not believe in certain things, that is my only peeve.

Palin whether it was her idea or not spent her time dividing americans along values issues, and that is what got her more flack than anything.. I think.. The idea of family values is great until you us them to condemn the choices of others, no?

mirror...that is a term used. get over that

next...someone could have family values....but what if the mate becomes abusive or cheats or many other things? does that person have to put up with it because they believe in family values???? no!!!

just because one person believes in them doesn't mean the other does.

do you know how many girls get pregnate these days (not all are religious)....and how many guys get them pregnant?

people make mistakes in life. it didn't work out....all they can do is learn from things. but i would NEVER gloat over someone's pain. not even the dad of my son

geez.....mirror....the parents can have those values but doesn't mean the children share them slaphead
laugh No, its not an acceptable term to use.laugh

 A person shouldnt put themself (or their family values) up on a pedastal if they arnt prepared to fall.

 This seems to be a habit with the family values crowd.

It makes her mother a hypocrite for claiming to represent "family values"

how? respecting your child (now adult) as an individual trusting in their ability to make their own decisions, however bad they may be, is certainly a Christian family value. don't get me wrong, palin scares the crap out of me but i don't think her daughter's choice says anything about the governor's beliefs. i could understand the hypocrisy angle if palin got an abortion but if she's supporting her daughter even when she's acting like an idiot...

I just think its funny because Sarah Palin the VP candidate ran on an abstinance only and "traditional family values" platform.

And those are Gov Palins beliefs. Maybe her daughter doesnt have the same beliefs. No body is perfect. And you cant keep an eye on your kids 24 hours a day.

It kills me you blame this in Gov Palin. Would you be willing to go into the getho and say that about the families there, where the majority of the cildren have pnly one parent? Or is it ok for them but not Gov Palins family?
huh I thought Gov Palin was for family values?huh

Why do you assume she didnt teach these values to her children? We are our own person and we all do things and yes things our parents tought us and things our parents didnt teach us. And I'm sure some of us went against what our parents tried to teach us was right.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

 Maybe these "family values" cretins need to remember that.

Maybe Bristol doesnt hold those "family values"

laugh Apparently not. laugh So I guess its okay for Gov Palins family but not for everyone else. Typical family values hypocrisy.

so because somebody fails in living up to an ideal that makes them an hypocrite? must be nice to have never fallen short of a goal...
 It makes her mother a hypocrite for claiming to represent "family values"

What Bristol did has nothing to do with what her mother believes.

If you want to bash Gov palin because of what actions her daughter took, then we need to impeach President Obama because he lied to us, No earmarks he said while campaigning. What the hell has been in every thing he's passed nothing but earmarks! Oh and lets appoint a tax cheat to be sec of treasury, thats all right to do! He also said no lobbiests but appointed several of them. OH YEAH I forgot it's ok for Dems to lie and just say I didnt know! What about Carlie rangle wrighting tax laws but doesnt pay them? Thats ok WTF wake up people get off Bristol Palin she is no threat to you. focus your energy on what is going on with our country!

I still wonder if Sarah Palin faked that one pregnancy to cover for her daughter, ya know the one were she flew accross the country after her water broke, knowing all along she was in a high risk pregnancy. We never did see the birth certificate on that one.
