I just think its funny because Sarah Palin the VP candidate ran on an abstinance only and "traditional family values" platform.

And those are Gov Palins beliefs. Maybe her daughter doesnt have the same beliefs. No body is perfect. And you cant keep an eye on your kids 24 hours a day.

It kills me you blame this in Gov Palin. Would you be willing to go into the getho and say that about the families there, where the majority of the cildren have pnly one parent? Or is it ok for them but not Gov Palins family?
huh I thought Gov Palin was for family values?huh

Why do you assume she didnt teach these values to her children? We are our own person and we all do things and yes things our parents tought us and things our parents didnt teach us. And I'm sure some of us went against what our parents tried to teach us was right.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

 Maybe these "family values" cretins need to remember that.

you realize that couples that stay together only for the baby don't always work??? the 2 can be there to give the baby love but doesn't mean they need to be together. my ex and i are actually friends but being married was hurting us and my son. my son sees that we are friends now and that it is for the best

people who believe in family values also know that sometimes it is better to be apart

Well for the record if I were a republican and voted such for the the anti abortion reasone I would be furiouse with the republicans. I suspect it is their bread and butter wedge issue, after all with 8 years of republican dominance in all branches of government Roe vs Wade is still on the books. How else can you explain this except that is they only wish to make it illegal durring campaign seasone and then "poof" the issue is gone never to be mentioned again.

to the op.......
maybe I missed something here; but, wtf does republicans and who we voted for and abortion have to do with Bristol Palin breaking up with her b/f a couple months after her baby was born?

I think all unwed parents who break up should be disembowled and the child be turned over to the liberals to raise. Or, there should be a law requiring them to marry, particularly if they are republicans. Personally, being a liberal dem, I prefer the former. That way we could cure the conservative problem. Don't you other liberals agree?

j/k of course. grumble

creepy...

Palin's daughter did what many do in strict religious families, they rebel. But because she ran on family values, that is what made it a bit hard to take for some. But as much as I didn't like Palin's whole attitude, she can't be blamed for what her daughter ultimately chose. Her daughter may well have chosen the same had she not been in a religious family. Just my not so humble opinion..

maybe "family values" are more an ideal than anything else. maybe it's what we hold in front of us to strive for...maybe it's what reminds us to behave.

everyone screws up. it's our response to said screw-up that counts.

mirror...that is a term used. get over that

next...someone could have family values....but what if the mate becomes abusive or cheats or many other things? does that person have to put up with it because they believe in family values???? no!!!

just because one person believes in them doesn't mean the other does.

do you know how many girls get pregnate these days (not all are religious)....and how many guys get them pregnant?

people make mistakes in life. it didn't work out....all they can do is learn from things. but i would NEVER gloat over someone's pain. not even the dad of my son

geez.....mirror....the parents can have those values but doesn't mean the children share them slaphead
