it is only a true soldier that cannot be insulted, and does not fight for pacified baby "feelings" of self, but rather ONLY FOR JUSTICE, FOR THE WEAK AND DEFENSELESS AND SICK!!! Give me a break,,, YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT 19 YR OLD AMERICAN KIDS! Often more than not, they come from some of the poorest families in America. Those in the Infantry, the only ones who are really dangerous, are among the lowest in intelligence. They join right after HS, mainly because society doesnt offer them much in the way of a future as a civilian. Because they are American, they are cowboys trying to make a reputation. That's before they are in combat. At that point everyone's attitude changes. At that point surviving overcomes all emotions and violence a tool. Pride, brotherhood, and historical traditions is all that keeps them standing. you question what they fight for in iraq , you say there fight is unjust , you say they die for nothing ! and when you do that you disrespect the memory of those who are gone like your friend , and the actions of those who are still serving . what is wrong with questioning the fighting in iraq? did we not go there in the first place searching for wmd wich were never found? what are the soliders dying for? i wont say they are dying for nothing but they are not dying for a good reason the conspirousy theories we are talking about aren't just about the war. they have continued in many threads questioning the iraq war motives aren't wrong at all. but there are other things in the war to consider. like the treatment of the people under sadam. any other reason than that...should be questioned and the guilty will have to answer for it |

It gives them brothers they may never have had, and most likely never will again. It gives them a second chance. It gives them respect. Respect for themselves and respect for the freedoms we enjoy. there may be alot in war to consider other than the reason we were involved in the first place.
i still have no idea why everyone has such a problem with conspiracy theories...consider all the theories involved with jfk shooting...no one centers on that in this conversation..just on t2's supposed theories...i havent been around much lately so i havent kept up on the threads to know of all of them. |

Wow the things they can do with phsycological operations (psyops) is amazing! Look what it did with this thread.
You would be amazed at how large a part psyops has to do with war. |

This reminds me, While in the 4th ID, 1/10 INFBN, our First Sgt. thought it would be a morale boost if we, 19 yr olds, pick a secret nick-name to call ourselves. (no one else was to know outside the CO.) "We chose Widow Makers." What, do you Floyd types, reckon that choice signifies? ????? when one's are faced with something larger than themselves, it makes sense to them to view themselves as something worse than the proposed enemy. the name itself signified to each of you something that you didn't want the enemy to be. like 20 or so 19 yr olds holding a 100ft cardboard monster in front of you to bring fear into the enemies heart first before they realized that you were scared too. |
