many jewish people had a desire for generations upon generations to return to their ancestral homeland in Israel. during the Holocaust in WWII the need to find homes for large numbers of Jews became a matter of life and death and jews already living in Israel welcomed the refugees with open arms even as strict immigration quotas were put on jews in other parts of the world. this led to a great influx of jews into Israel and a burgeoning of nationalism and self-determination and ultimately to the creation of the modern state of Israel re-establishing one of the world's best known and earliest documented societies. there is no disputing the ancient jewish nation. there was for centuries a vibrant, jewish national society with a distinct address in Israel and headquarters in the city they founded as their capital thousands of years ago - Jerusalem. so the answer to "why Israel?" is because it is their ancestral home where jews have lived for thousands of years...and because of dire necessity to avoid extermination solely because of their religious beliefs. christians have a wide variety of reasons for supporting the jews. shared beliefs and a sense of kinship. simple sense of moral righteousness and even belief in biblical prophecy. but there are plenty of good reasons to support Zionism. Well I don't have time to school you on the history of Zionism and what part the holocaust played in that plan, or the religion of the Jews, but I will repeat, they are not a race unto themselves. They are no different than other people of the white race and the Jews today who were born in other countries of the world have no reason or right to insist that they own Israel just because of their ancestors who may have lived there.. which is questionable. I live where many native Americans had their ancestral home and they are not about to try to come here and claim this land or try to take it away from the white people who homesteaded here after the army ran off the natives by war and starvation years ago. I'm not proud of that history and that I am living here, does not make it right. That is what the Zionists (so-called Jews) did to the people of the land they now claim is theirs. There are NO good reason at all to support Zionism. The government of Israel is very close to communism and in bed with communists. America used to fight communism and that was a very bad word in this country at one time. Israel is a dictatorship. Call him what ever you want. He is a war criminal too. Take a look at the government, the aggression, the atrocities, the cruelty and the terrorist activity of the Mossad. It was the Zionists who were behind 9-11 and all three buildings were owned by Zionists who collected a lot of insurance money, not to mention got troops into Iraq, which was a huge threat to Israel. People need to follow the money if they want the truth. Now I am finished with this topic. I just want to say that a criminal is a criminal I don't care what race or religion they are. Criminals are criminals, dictators are dictators and they did not get there by being nice people. |

I am already educated on the subject and understand it reasonably well. That is one reason why I know of these documents on the history. And, I am happy to share what I have learned with you. I don't know why you want to focus on race. It is not a racial thing at all. Jews come in all races, asians, blacks, caucasion etc. etc. Judaism is a religion and Israel was/is a nation that is to say a country. A government which was founded by jews. A jewish state and it has a long history stretching back to the dawn of recorded history and it was located in the same place the modern state of Israel is now. And it is so well documented that if you read the above article I quoted you can learn all about it! See? Did you look at either the extensive carefully researched and referenced article or the slideshow? All anyone has to do is click. ![]() |

I don't know why you want to focus on race. It is not a racial thing at all.
I focus on race because the Jews who were persecuted were persecuted because of their blood lines not necessarily because of their religious beliefs. And also, the hatred of the Jews was called "racism." If you are so educated on the history of Zionism then you should know that the land of Israel was not the first place considered to create a home for the Jews. My question is and always has been, why were Jewish people persecuted in the first place? There are many different religions of the world. I don't see any other particular religion getting persecuted for their beliefs throughout history -- as much as the Jews have been. So what is the motivation for picking on the Jews? My thinking is that there is another reason besides their religious beliefs. Hitler claimed to be Christian and was supported by the Vatican, but his reason for persecuting the Jews was that they were ruining Germany. The German people were poor and many worked for rich Jewish people who were stealing the real wealth from the people. The persecution had nothing to do with religious beliefs. That is the big lie. It also had nothing to do with their "race." (They are white people, why would other white people be prejudice against them?) Therefore it had to do with their agenda and what they were doing. What else could it be? |

This is not true. Jews were persecuted for their religious beliefs. For example, the Inquisition. The Jews refused to convert and were often killed for their beliefs. Another example, Hitler. All jews were killed didn't matter if they were black, white, green, purple, or yellow. Not if they were aristocrats, scholars, shoe salesmen, or janitor. Didn't matter if they had one parent jewish, or none (convert) - if they believed and worshipped as jews - they were killed.
![]() nothing to do with race. Zionism was never anywhere else but Israel - that is what "Zion" means. Just a sec and I'll look it up: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Zion So, the assertion that it is racial is ridiculous. However, it is "what they were doing" in a sense. It was that they were "observing their religion openly" - a religion that various authorities objected to because it conflicted with another theology or another authority in the case of Rome. The notion that Jews were somehow controlling or power hungry is the stuff of Nazi propaganda! Don't believe me? Read old Nazi newspapers like Der Sturmer!! No basis in fact. |

What has been done has been done.
The question is what needs to be done to establish peace amongst the two fractions. I admire when Jewish and Palestinian families get together and actually move forward in learning to live amongst each other in peace. This is the best way to go about anything in my opinion and not war, killing, bombing, threating, or what have you. There is a website in which I can't find that has young adults both Jewish and Palestinian meet on a regular bases to enjoy activities together. They created this organization to show the world that the two can get along together. It is to bad I can't find it! Anyway here is one article fun to read if you have the time. http://traubman.igc.org/hope.htm |

"Don’t be so humble, you’re not that great."
![]() -Golda Meir and more: Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us. Peace will come when an Arab leader is courageous enough to wish it. When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. I am convinced that peace will come to Israel and its neighbors because the tens of millions of Arabs need peace just as much as we do. An Arab mother who loses a son in battle weeps as bitterly as any Israeli mother. Of course, we all must realize that the path to peace may be a little bit difficult, but not as difficult as the path to war. The only alternative to war is peace. The only road to peace is negotiation. To be or not to be is not a question of compromise. Either you be or you don’t be. If we are criticized because we do not bow because we cannot compromise on the question ‘To be or not to be,’ it is because we have decided that, come what may, we are and we will be. We don’t want wars, even when we win. Our secret weapon? - No alternative. -Golda Meir |

Here in Miami I have a friend who is Jewish married to a German with five kids that are best friends of a Palestinen family with 3 kids. They go out almost every weekend to have drinks and food.
I sometimes go out with them to just enjoy their conversations on politics. In the end they somehow come to agreement that most people on both sides truly just want peace and that they can live amongst each other in peace. |

Well since Hitler was hardly a real Christian with brotherly love for his fellow human beings I doubt that he cared that much about persecuting people just because of their religious beliefs. He was not that devout. If you want to perpetrate the myth that Jews were and still are persecuted because of their religious beliefs you are just spreading untruths. No doubt you believe them yourself. But Zionist in Israel could care less about their Judaic religion. Most of them are atheists and wanna be communists. I did not state that "Jews" are controlling or power hungry. I said that ZIONISTS are. They are a breed all their own. In my opinion they are not 'real Jews.' They are wolves in sheep's clothing. |

In the end they somehow come to agreement that most people on both sides truly just want peace and can imagine live amongst each other in peace. this is actually quite common. unfortunately there is a minority of racical islamists like hamas who are ideologically committed to violent imposition of islam throughout the mideast including the elimination of israel. even though they are an extremely small fraction of all muslims, there are still a large number of them because of the very large number of muslims around the world. and they can be extremely violent. it is a serious challenge to world peace. |

The term "Zionism" is based on the biblical name for the city of Jerusalem. I don't have a problem with the Jewish State thing, the world has plenty of muslim states. In fact, the majority of the palestinians are really jordanian anyway. I don't like the dual citizen crap. I don't like AIPAC. Here is a little tidbit I bet most of you didn't know. In a 1986 study of domestic terrorism, the Department of Energy concluded: “For more than a decade, the Jewish Defense League (JDL) has been one of the most active terrorist groups in the United States... In 2001, JDL Founder Irv Rubin was arrested for plotting to bomb the office of Darrell Issa, a California Congressman. Issa's father was a Lebanese Christian. As in most cases, this isn't an indictment of all jewish people. Im just pointing out that their hands are not totally clean, as some would have us believe. |

Well what it is worth I think if a negotiation doesn't work then a war should be fought out by playing the best of 7 in a basketball game to determine the outcome to end a resolution.
but of course that would be a absurd idea for most people ![]() yet I can imagine there would be less casualities in the end. At least I would like to believe it to be ![]() |

Anyone sincerely interested in learning about antisemitism can read as much as they like about it here and in references:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_antisemitism Although there were and are many issues associated with the persecution of jews and antisemitism over the years, the basis was always that the jews answered to their god as the ultimate authority (and their rabbis) and this conflicted with other authorities either religious like other dominant religions or governmental authorities such as emperors or kingdoms. This is the sense in which I say that it is fundamentally the religion. Zionist is merely a term for Israeli nationalism and some "Israeli nationalists" are more religious than others. But the fact that the purpose of Zionism was to re-establish a jewish state in Israel shows clearly that Zionism is definitely a religious movement at it's core. I'm not making this up. That is and always has been the chief goal of Zionsism - the re-establishment of a jewish state in Israel! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism |

Yep. InvictusV has the right history of the modern Zionist movement.

But the fact that the purpose of Zionism was to re-establish a jewish state in Israel shows clearly that Zionism is definitely a religious movement at it's core.
Religion has been used throughout the ages to incite war and unrest and to control and manipulate the population. When war is accomplished there is always someone who profits from both sides, selling arms and rebuilding the destruction. War is (and always has been) a means to an end to transfer wealth to certain families, (the bankster gangsters) who manipulate both sides of every conflict. These profiteers don't care about 'religion.' They have their own agenda. They just sit back and do business, often involved in inner family power struggles. The middle east and the temple mount is an important place to these ruling families as it was probably the location of the first advanced alien civilization and the 'Garden of Eden' where genetic manipulation of humans began. It is the place where 'the gods' are supposed to return or where it is believed that Jesus will return to rule over the world. I'm not familiar with all the other religious myths surrounding this location, but just about every world war revolves around the middle east and the Jewish people for some odd reason. So again, I ask, out of all the different religions, why should the Jews be the most persecuted throughout the ages? What is so despicable about their religious beliefs that would make anyone hate them and want to destroy them? Do they go out and try to convert people to their faith against their will? NO they don't. Do they tell people to convert to Judaism or die? No they don't. In fact, it is very difficult to convert and be accepted as a Jew, unless you have a blood connection, like a Jewish mother. So why are they so persecuted? I have not yet found a reasonable answer to this question from people who defend and support Zionism. |

But like I said, when the jews were the aggrieved party, it was because they didn't recognize "the superiority of the Roman Emperor for example or the domination of the Church for example) because the jews had their own beliefs on laws and god. so ther was an <ahem> conflict with the other authorities....because of their religious beliefs.... ya know....like "get that dog offa MY lawn" ![]() but you are right. it was the same for the other religions too... |
