Graphic! Kind of a ickkkkk, yet an accepted longing for release......hmmmmm. You nailed it baby!!! Grandma is turning 87 today and it got me thinking about being old and this is what happened. See what happens when I think too much?! |

Graphic! Kind of a ickkkkk, yet an accepted longing for release......hmmmmm. You nailed it baby!!! Grandma is turning 87 today and it got me thinking about being old and this is what happened. See what happens when I think too much?! Grandma fell and broke her hip about a month ago and is no longer up and around and she has alzheimer's and a panic disorder and is in a nursing home. I don't want to deal with all of that! I come by the bullheadedness and pisser-ish-ness honestly though and I think it started before her! You should see my mother if you think I'm a pisser! |

Good writing and can see why you write that knowing full well of the trauma involved with a person with old age related troubles

Good write indeed!
It's hard to see them in a way that we know is just not them, but at times it makes the end easier knowing they had already moved on long before their bodies follow. |

Thanks Kristi and Pam!
I wish it could be easier but the thing is right now Grandma is still aware and knows there is something wrong but doesn't understand what it is and why she isn't getting better. I feel so bad for her!!! I can't even imagine going through it myself |

It's ironic you should post this now.... leaving Monday for the west coast to deal with issues concerning my mother.
Very graphic and very well stated! Excellent bit of reality! Sorry to hear of your grandmothers plight and difficulties. I wish her well and the same for you in your dealings with it. |

Selective would be sweeter, To just control our mind. Soon we realize the irony, As old creeps in to take, Away the fluid movements. Then our bones start to break. When conception moments, Births, that soon we'll see, What happens to our parents, Full circle comes to we. Raine Les 2/27/2009 an understanding lived more than I care to.Love you. |
