No real stipulation on you having to get him anything, if he is a true gentleman he won't be concerned with getting anything other than your company. Can't say I've ever expected anything from any of the ladies I have dated, see how the date goes and feel it out...you should be just fine with giving him good conversation and company.

Dear JAG...I have to call a contractor tomorrow to do some repairs. How much will it cost and how many days of agony while they tear up my house??? Plumbing is involved. And drywall.

I would first look up the Better Business Bureau in your area and find out which contractors have had complaints filed about them.

If you can find a reputable contractor, it should take that long.

Keep in mind, also, that with the way things are these days, contractors don't have a whole lot of work. You may be able to negotiate a better price than they quote you originally.
