No real stipulation on you having to get him anything, if he is a true gentleman he won't be concerned with getting anything other than your company. Can't say I've ever expected anything from any of the ladies I have dated, see how the date goes and feel it out...you should be just fine with giving him good conversation and company. Thank you. I know he wouldn't expect anything, but i wanted to show how much I appriciate the lengths o which he is going (exoense) for this evening. I think an offer to cook dinner the next time would work. Too bad I burned my cookbook. No, it wasn't a protest; I'm just really that bad a cook! Thirty years ago, when I started dating and a woman rarely made as much money as a guy, when I guy spent beaucoup bucks on a date, he often expected her to "put out." I'm glad those days are gone. |

You would be surprised at how easy it is to let us know how much you appreciate something...typically as easy as just saying "I really appreciate you doing all of this" or something along those lines. Most importantly, just enjoy the date...that is thanks enough most of the time. |

I see 'bondage bear' is back. Does that represent a mood or anything special or just a 'cuz you wanna' moment?

Dear JAG...I have to call a contractor tomorrow to do some repairs. How much will it cost and how many days of agony while they tear up my house??? Plumbing is involved. And drywall.

Dear JAG...I have to call a contractor tomorrow to do some repairs. How much will it cost and how many days of agony while they tear up my house??? Plumbing is involved. And drywall. I would first look up the Better Business Bureau in your area and find out which contractors have had complaints filed about them. If you can find a reputable contractor, it should take that long. Keep in mind, also, that with the way things are these days, contractors don't have a whole lot of work. You may be able to negotiate a better price than they quote you originally. |

Using someone I've used before with good luck/service. They are a little pricier than trying to find each one individually, but they have a licensed person on staff that does everything (except electrical, which they sub.) And the answer is...done by the end of the week (worth it)and a little over $1K. (ARRRRGH!) |
