Actually, I like that they've got the religions segregated. I was talking to some people in a Catholic site one time and when they found out about my religious affiliation, several of them started really harrassing me. I had been logging in there because people were nice, and because they didn' thave a bunch of cussing and ingorance every other word. After that, it was 3 yrs before I was willing to get into discussion threads anywhere again. Here, I don't have to worry about people getting judgemental and rude about the fact that I'm Wiccan.

 It wasn't exactly that bad on here, although stuff did happen occasionally. We had a group of about 10 "regulars",(some christians and some "others") that had gradually grown to like each other and actually got along suprisingly well.:smile:It was mostly newbies that would come in there and cause a lot of havoc.:smile:The political threads are a lot more adversarial than we were.:smile:I guess the site admins and mods just got tired of all the crybabies and split everyone up.

Hello Ryan, and welcome.

Hello to everyone. waving

I haven't been posting here lately at all. But I'm still actively involved with my studies and practice of witchcraft and shamanism. I've been mostly focusing on the shamanic journeying. I'm not having really great result right now, but that's ok, I think things come in waves, and the time just isn't right. I think now with Beltane here things may change soon. I've been doing a lot of gardening and spending time outdoors more often now.

I've also been getting side-tracked back into physics and math. laugh

I just love that stuff, I have no clue why. I get my fill of it and leave it for a while, but inevitably I always find myself being called back into it.

Anyway, nothing new to report on the shamanic front. laugh

I have been reading a lot of books lately. Mostly on Faery Teachings and Journeying into the underworld.

I got R. J. Stewart's book, The Underworld Initiation. But I can't say that I'm overly impressed with it. Too much mention of Jesus and Christianity. Clearly this guy must be some kind of Christian Celtic. Or at least he refers a lot to Christianity and Jesus. I confess that I have to put the book down. I just don't need that slant on things anymore.

Fortunately most of the Faery Teachings books I have don't bring up Christianity much at all.

I also have a book by R. J. Stewart on the Celtic Qabalah which is quite interesting. Obviously it mentions the Jewish slant, but it doesn't focus on it. He does a good job of keeping it fairly Celtic. I like the presentation and it has actually led me to create my own qabalah which I'm excited about.

In any case, I just thought I'd report in and Just Say Hi!

Understanding the nature like it is part of you is the first step in getting to know the supernatural events people always talk about.

I think if you understand everything that lives and see what it truly enjoys you are one step closer to understanding perhaps a spiritual world here on Earth.

I mean lately I have had much luck with understanding and living with the nature in general.

Just these last two months this has happened to me

Went to a show where tigers performed. After the show the tiger walked straight towards me and sat in front putting its paw on my shoulder. The owner of the tiger said this never happened before.

Plants that usually die in the past trying to preserve them now live and grow exceptionally tall.

My fish in my aquarim practically jumps out of the water to play with me. Before it was scared and went inside its castle at the very bottom of the aquarim (80 gallons) by the way.

Went to the park with bread. I usually throw it a few feet away from me to feed anything. Have birds now coming on my hand to eat the bread and a squirrel went up my leg onto my shoulder.

Yes these are not made up stories. This really happened.

It has been a exceptional experience lately.

There is something about this that I still have to figure out.

Keep hanging around with those Indians and you'll eventually become a witch. bigsmile

Don't tell the Indians that I said that though. They've been taught by the Christians that the word witch means poisoner! laugh

That's amazing smiles! You must be communicating your love to these creatures! They say there was a time when humans could communicate with all living creatures. I think that is the universal language of telepathy in the form of images and feeling and vibration.

I told this story before but it is a good one. One night I left my door open and a pig walked into my studio. He woke me up chomping on my dog's food. (Pigs really smack their jaws when they eat.) I attempted to chase him out of my house but he just kept hiding and running away from the open door.

Then I suddenly changed my intentions. I pictured having the pig butchered and made into bacon. mmmm... I thought that's a lot of ham. I then started towards the open door with the intention to close it and trap my "prey."

But the pig somehow read my intentions and suddenly bolted past me towards the door. I followed him out and he ran quickly out to the alley as if running for his life.

I swear it felt like he had read my thoughts.

I believe at one time we had this sixth or seventh sense. We have just forgotten how to use it because of all the technological advances that allowed us not to need them anymore.

Animals still have them today for survival purposes. Your pig example is a great explanation of it.

Today I went to the park and the dog growled at my daughter because she was scared but it went up to me because I wanted to pet him and show some love. Even though my daughter is no threat at her size and just stood there the dog felt the worry or being scared part. Is that energy, is that telepathy, or is that just great observing technics they have??

So yes animals sense this and it is amazing how it is done. I would like to know how it is done so we can have the possiblity of honing this ability ourselves once again.

This will get us closer in seeing and understanding more of life and what is beyond in my opinion.

You know these natives are very humourous. They have alot of jokes about the white manlaugh

Yes they are very attached to nature. I learn alot on weekends when I take my daughter also. She has a best friend now from one of the families. They are both the same age and enjoy the time together.

I of course am filled with questions so they are now asking me to write it on a paper so the counsel can answer them for melaugh

Soon I will be forbidden to come there one daylaugh

The Seminoles are a beautiful people full of wisdom to share. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to make some friends of such peaceful knowledge practiced for over thousands of years.

Hello all! Have some free time so I thought I'd stop by and say hi to all my witchy friends.

I'm doing pretty good. Still following my very eclectic path but with less of a Catholic influence. I guess it's just the natural progression of things.

Nice to see everyone. flowerforyou

Midsummer Candle Making Blessing
Kereena's Grimoire Free Spells
http://www.kereenasgrimoire.com/spells.htm

Your Midsummer Circle is a good time to make your seasonal candles. Before the Sabbat:

Determine how many candles you want to make - at least one for each celebration
List all the herbs and flowers you will need
Make note of the colors that will work best for each candle
Then buy a quantity of pre-made beeswax sheets, wicks, and herbs.
When you are in your Circle, make the candles by spreading the herbs and/or flowers onto the individual wax sheets, then place the wick on the outer edge of the sheet and roll them up tightly while saying something like this:

"Herbs and flowers, wax and wicks
In you, the power and magick I fix
When next you're called and made aglow
Let your power and magick flow."

Next you need to offer them to the Lord and Lady and the fey. Try saying something like this:

"With these candles offered you
Comes my awe for each season new
Let your work be eased and light
With love and cheer and flame so bright"

Now you have Blessed Candles to use in your rituals.
