Hello. Im new and just checking out the threads and forums. Im not a Wiccan or a Pagan but I do find alternative spiritualists most fascinating. I do explore non-prescription or traditional medicines and herbal therapies for addressing sickness and pain or chronic illness. I am certainly Pagan friendly and am interested in Witchcraft. Blessed be. flowerforyou

It is in a certain consciousness level between sleep and being awake when you enter into a place where you can see these entities. I was in that state once when I saw what could only be called a gnome. He was a small creature with a squatty little body and pointed ears. He had no clothes on. (eeek!) When he became aware of me and I of him, he came over to me for an energy exchange which amounts to a "psychic sexual exchange" I was quite alarmed and I chanted my mantra and he was blown out of my energy field.

Totally weird it was.

Months later I was at a Military base on a job through a temp agency and I saw a soldier with a drawing pad. I was curious about what he was drawing and I wanted to see it. He had pages and pages of drawings of beautiful dark haired women and they were surrounded by these little naked gnomes. I was stunned, not because of the nudity but because that was a picture of the creature I had seen! The soldier was embarrassed to show me the drawings and did not let me see them except for just a glance. I wanted to ask him why he drew such pictures, but he did not want to talk about it.

Strange it was.

 Far out. Thanks for sharing that with us Jeanniebeanflowerforyou

Really? You think the Orc women didnt enjoy equal rights with their male counterparts while carrying around those battle axes? laugh

Its funny how in those Japanese animation depictions, ALL of these characters are sexy looking women. The Orc were ugly from what I remember in Lord of the Rings.

Hmm. I thought Orcs came out of the ground? Although in LOR, they looked to have the "machinery" for sexual procreation. They were like men, just more ugly. Hmm.

But then there were also hybrids of Orcs and humans right? Ive heard of those in the online gaming world so that implies that human females were occasionally captured by Orc. Yet they never mention Orc females. Its all very confusing in a fictionalized way. laugh

This is what I find so attractive about Shamanism. Shamanism recognizes the reality of dreams as 'visions' into the spirit world. If we can imagine an orc, then an orc becomes real in our imagination and it can be whatever we imagine it to be.

This is basically the foundation of all religious experience. If you can imagine a burning bush speaking to you as a manifestation of God, then shamanism accepts that this vision is true for you.

If you can imagine angels that have wings like birds, or faeries that have wings like butterflies, it's all good.

If you can imagine demons with red skin and pointy tails that carry a trident, then so be it for you.

If you can imagine saints raising from the dead and appearing before you, the so be it for you.

In shamanism anything goes. Reality is in the experience. So whatever your experience is, is true for you.

Personally I've never met an orc in my dreams. Or if I have I didn't know it was an orc I thought it was the boogieman. laugh

Labels are so difficult to keep track of in dreams sometimes.

There are cultures that do believe that your dream world is every bit as real as your waking. This is also prevalent in African American populations that can hold a very strong belief in dream imagery and that dead loved ones can communicate with the living using dreams as a medium for this. Its fascinating. I have a hard time remembering mine honestly.

Whos more "powerful" ? The Witch or the Shaman? Or is it just that they have different attributes? In the game I mean...

 Just different capabilities. A Witch is basically a type of wizard and a Shaman is a type of priest. Witch's get their spells from pacts with outerplanar entities and Shamans get their spells from different types of spirits.
