I still don't see the reason for either Myspace or Facebook. I mean... c'mon- the sites CAN'T be that cool, can they?
I agree everyone I know and there brother is on there and they keep wanting me to join hell I have trouble keeping track of what sites Im already onrofl yet alone adding more sites call me old fashioned but I like to keep how many sites Im on to a minimal

I was on Myspace before it was cool to be on Myspace. I love it and keep in touch with so many people that I would never have gotten into contact with without Myspace. I have a facebook also but only because a friend invited me but I never really log on.

Myspace > facebook

I can't even compare both sites, as I use them for completely different things.

I like Facebook. Signed up about 2 months ago and found many many people I used to hang with in high school. I like that people post their real names there. If your identity is all that sacred, then don't join. Or just don't post what you don't want others to know. It's that simple.

I used to like MySpace, but the novelty wore off. I couldn't find people without their real names. It's chock full of spam and advertising messages in my inbox. I get too many friend requests from strangers and teenage girls trying to put me in jail and people I don't care to talk to.

So I do still have my MySpace account but rarely log in. I love my Facebook account and check in all the time to see what my real-life friends are doing. But I still spend more time here at Mingle since we have forums. If Facebook had forums, you probably wouldn't see me here very much except looking for dating.

I use facebook to keep in touch with family who lives far away and also to keep in touch with other mom's/families of kids who have the same syndrome as my son. But I only ever go on if someone sends me something or I get a new friend request.

I have myspace and hate it! I think I may go on that one once or twice a year. Too many graphics, too many weird people.

Yes, the out of control profiles on myspace are a huge turn off.

Damn scraight. I hate waiting 5 minutes for somebody's poorly decorated profile page to load. And I have a cable connection. Shouldn't take that long, but all those stupid graphics and crappy profile songs bog it down.

I do agree with you, 'cept everywhere they compare the 2 because they are such large search engines.

I do think it's interesting that on Facebook you are more who you REALLY are in public, where MySpace is a bit more 'online presentation' of your personna. Does that make sense?

Myspace is the who can make a more annoying profile site . I never got into that at all. And would avoid certain people's profiles all together because they were too much.

As for me not comparing the two sites.. they're just completely different for me. I don't search for random people to chat with on Facebook. Here, I will happily talk to people I don't know.

I have an account on both but havent logged into either in over 6 months.

These days i cannot really be bothered making any effort to keep in contact with people online. There are a lot of people i should really make an effort to catch up with but dont. I just like to log on here from work to waste time and then forget about my online life at other times. Logging onto myspace or facebook rarely crosses my mind even.
