I still say if she says she is "Reubenesque" it means she looks like her brother reuben. Yeah yeah- I know about the artist and how women with meat on their bones back then was considered healthy and sexy for the time. Women also thought knights in shining armor and chainmail underwear and chastity belts were sexy back then also. Its 2009.

I'm a realist. And I've been deceived on an internet date by someone who said they were a few extra pounds- which was a gross understatement. I've also been deceived by a woman who said she was 40 and was actually 60. The weight question? It doesn't matter your size- just be honest about it. There's someone for everybody out there. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences. But if you are dishonest from the start- you get what you get. Noone wants a liar from the beginning. Few give second chances these days.

Ok, I feel better now and I completely understand where you are coming from as far as the honesty thing. It is so easy to lie and be lied to on here, but where is that going to get you in the end? Looking like a fool when someone you have a strong interest in, meets you and realizes that everything was an extreme exaggeration. Ah, not like I'm talking from experience or anything.....

I have never passed a judgement reading "Few Extra Pounds."
If anything, maybe it means they are a little out of shape, but who cares. one of the sexiest women I know would be categorized "Few Extra Pounds"... but her face is just georgeous and she carries herself with so much confidence, its very sexy. I don't think body type should even be a category to explain yourself anyway. |

To me, a few extra pounds, which is my selection, means that I weigh 190, when I should weigh maybe 170 or so. I think most americans are in that catagory from what I have seen and read. Dennis I am 5' 8" and weigh 200lbs. My doc says I should weigh around 165. My build is naturally stocky. According to the doc, I am " obese ". According to me, I carry a ' few extra pounds ', but I carry them well. People can pretty much see how I am built by looking at my profile pics. |

What are guys really thinking when they read 'a few extra pounds?' Do they think that she has an extra 5-10 or an extra 30-50? Do they think curvy or fat? Just curious. we all know that women lie about their weight and many will deny that they're fat. if i see "a few extra pounds", i'm thinking fat and in denial. i know, i'm a pr1ck. too bad. btw, i'm 6'2" and 260#. everybody around me says i'm average, but i say i'm fat. |

It depends on the person's point of view.Ive been trying to figure it out myself so I asked women in stores about clothes sizes. Average size for a woman is size 13 and under.Plus size is 14 and above.Petite is 5'4 and below.Misses sizes are in the odd numbers.Small is size six and under If a person asks you about your weight just tell them your pants size lol Sizes 14, 16, and 18 are in the women's section of clothes not the plus size section. |

My personal experience has been . That a lot ( not all) of women list themselves as "average" That's ok ...EXCEPT their interpation is screwed up. YOU don't look around at your peers, co workers and others to do a comparison. To many people (men and women) are actually overweight. So a few "extra pounds" will scare the hell out of me. People should use some kind of Medical guideline. nothing like seeing a 300 lb woman naked in a bath tub that said " i am average"  I'm a few extra pounds. Do I scare you? |
