I believe we all evolve to some degree, but from monkeys or some animal, no, however would like to point out evoloution from monkeys to us has not been proven. You're actually looking at it all wrong. The reason is probably due to the idea that you would like to believe that humans are special and somehow animals are not. It's actually incorrect to say that we evolved from monkeys. We are simply a highly evolved species of primate. Instead of thinking of us having branched off from monkeys you could think that monkeys branched off from us and that would be basically the same thing in a way. In other words, we both evolved from the primate line. We're more like cousins of the monkeys. We're not their decendents. Moreover, the primates that we evolved from ulimately evolved from rodents if we go back far enough. So in a sense you could say that we evolved from rats. Go back far enough and all life on Earth evolved from slime mold. The ulternative is to believe that some God made Adam from dirt and then as an afterthought he made Eve from Adam's rib. Then Eve lured Adam into sin. The moral being that dirt is holier than ribs. |

I have family members that don't believe in evolution. They are complete creationists. They can't back themselves up of course when I ask "well then how is it that the world/people/animals/things evolve?" lol

. . . but from monkeys or some animal, no, however would like to point out evoloution from monkeys to us has not been proven. What is an animal? What characteristics define creatures of the animal Kingdom? I believe we all evolve to some degree
So is there a degree where a given species stops evolving? What would stop a species from evolving? If there is no stopping these changes, then what characteristics would be protected from change? What would protect these characteristics from change? If no characteristics are protected from change, then couldn't any animal change enough to where they could no longer breed back with the previous line of animal? If that happened, then wouldn't the two lines diverge as time and other changes piled up and start to look and act more and more differently? What do you think we would see if we looked at the DNA of an ancient monkey and a modern human if they did not descend down the same lines? What about if they did? If anyone does enough educating and research to answer these questions then all will be made clear about evolution. |

I dont believe we are relative to primates in any way, allthough often used as a reference. (I notice you said "like" cousins I observe.) Im comfortable with the rib situation. If I were an afterthought, I am still grateful. Best not to waste TOO TOO much time with me on these subjects. I am christian, and believe in the bible, (you know what I believe) I appreciate the info.. I also believe that its possible that my higher power could have made it in one big bang. This could go on and on. You dont want to go on and on Im sure. |

If anyone does enough educating and research to answer these questions then all will be made clear about evolution. Stops evolving? Well besides death, seems like it, but maybe not. could be a choice. ex. someone who decides in one way not to further evolve in an area, may not continue school, (which is not to say in all area they dont evolve.) Some people choose not to evolve. I believe energy transfers. Thats a whole different discussion. I dont even grasp the concept of the next question hon. No idea about protection.. I agree it could be clearer about evoloution. It would be interesting, and a help to see more info that is factual. Id love to answer your questions, and they are very intelligent questions I am sure you know, but I really dont have all the answers, and I am not a master of this, nor am I an expert. I could say certain things about what I believe, but I really dont feel like arguing the bibleee.. orrrr spiritual beliefs. Im sure were all sick of that crap, and personally, I really dont relate to the preachy garbage. But I respect you all the same. |

Many if not all believe humans are the smartest species on the planet. Are we really the smartest?
(----------------- bonobo photo I actually think the bonobos are smarter then humans. Why did I come to that conclusion? Well first they create peaceful communities with co-dominant males and females in charge. Unlike other chimps, the community of bonobos operates not with a violence driven ethic but an ethic that can be described as "make love, not war." When the chimps in this society become agitated, they don't engage in bloody fights; they diffuse their divisive energy by having sex. So maybe we can learn a thing or two from these bonobos! I hate to see a fellow friend dead on the street just because he had a difference of opinion. Wouldn't you? Well it won't happen in a bonobo's environment. Second they are not so possessed with materialism! Humans will kill, cheat, deceipt, or lie for materialism! Could you live without your computer, cellphone, or what have you? Very few have tried to live a naturlist lifestyle for only very few can! |
