Who said anything about being a bad person? I just want to know how
it's justified for someone to say "eat a d**k" to a newbie! That's all!

Her friend did it. Her friend got SUSPENDED for it. But she still
won't admit there was anything wrong with it.

It's all about respect and civility. And being a decent person.

And maybe a little bit about guilt by association as well. Your friends
reflect on you, good or bad.

I'm not saying anyone is a bad person, That's not my call to make.

I am saying there's a way to be civil.

And there's a way to face up to it when a friend gets out of line.

papa...i bet it can be pretty difficult at times putting up with close
to a hundred people who have been interacting for months, if not years,
with each other.

we know each other pretty well, i must say...and there's quite a bit of
back-history.

i can't speak for everyone...but personally, i'm a bit cold, analytical,
and i have a wickedly dry sense of humor. it CAN be hard to tell if i'm
joking, if you don't know me. i am, however, vehemently against drugs.

i'm also as honest as they come...maybe a bit TOO honest...and fairly
ethical, as well.

Glad you are enjoying the site Oceans. I do admit it was a surprise
when so many of you joined us in one or two days, but you have fit in
quite well and I do enjoy reading the posts you and your friends put up.

Steve -- I agree with you, it's not actually about Lily because she was
not the one who made the original remark. My only point regarding Lily
here is in trying to understand her rationale in defending that
particular remark.

Frankly, I think it's indefensible, as do most of the people who have
posted and emailed me tonight. But maybe I'm wrong. Who knows? I'm
certainly willing to listen to anyone's explanation.

Sadly, I don't think there ever will be one.

But truthfully, I have no real issues with Lily. Well, maybe regarding
her choice of friends....
