Being a world leader we should set the example of altruism and helping our fellow humans both here and abroad...We can be tough without being bullies.I am looking forward to OBAMA's tenure and the return of dignity to the Oval office. Absolutely!! |

Why would Americans care what people outside the country thought? We care because we realize that what we do affects all people everywhere. JUst as what people outside our country do affects us. Americans have family all over the world, so americans as whole are a reflection of the world, not just the US. If I said that right.. |

You guys, are just talking emotions, emotions, with no end. If Obama brings our soldiers back, he is going to exacerbate the economic prolapse. Not to say that I don't want to bring our guys home. But we can only do that if either: -our economy completely desroys dollar, or -we follow the constitution and reinstall the classical gold standard. If none of this is true, and you bring armed forces home, then how are you going to force other countries to support our dollar? What, with candies? |

The best analogy that comes to mind in regards to this topic. Even though I'm most likely the wrong gender for one and too old for the other, I would publicly pretend to profess my unconditional love and unbridled adoration of/for Rosie O'Donnell or Barney Frank if I thought either one would be my no strings attached, personal, sugar momma.

As a non-american, I was moved to tears all the way through Obamas inauguration.I truly believe your new President will pave the way to a Unity, so desperately needed world-wide, in so many ways..
As for my perception of the USA...?...I don't think I really had one to begin with, except it was a big country and it had Disneyland...lol..I do, however, wish you all the best in your economic crisis..The road ahead may seem long and winding, but nevertheless, it will be a road to success for all.. |

Well, I already started that generational change with my children and hopefully the more generations we move forward the less evident the attitude will become. You have children from the melting pot too? I have two "rainbow" children who light up my world.   BTW, I also sniveled like an adolescent school girl at your new president's inauguration,but then I cry all the way through the Military Tattoo, Trooping Of The Colour........ Anything that concerns pomp and ceremony,I guess I am a proud citizen of the world
