I think it's an attraction issue with males. They want to remain in a relationship with the reasonably attractive girl they are with, but they can't resist the hot girl at the check-out counter.

there is not a single answer for this because people do it for many reasons. I think the real question should be i was a good mate and he/she still cheated and why? I have seen relationships where it was a no brainer why they cheated and others where your scratching your head why? but who knows what goes on behind closed doors, but cheating is much more common than people think i am sure of that!
