Topic: Is this considered being judgmental? Kinda touchy..... | |
---|---|
Ok the first thing I want everyone to know is that I'm not in any way anything near perfect and I don't act 'too good' for anyone. I understand people make mistakes, myself making many every day.
I'm saving sex for marriage and while I hear alot of good things about it, i hear alot of bad things too. Mainly because I would prefer to date women who are wating. I'll admit, I have yet to find one who is waiting but I know they are out there. If I'm going to date someone, it will be because I'm into her and she has what I look for.... Now, here's the question. Is turning down a date because she sleeps or has slept around being judgmental? I have heard good and bad, just wondering what everyone thinks. Thank you and God Bless! Pray for this world! |

How do you feel about it?

In my heart I feel I'm doing the right thing. Thats really all there is to it.

In my heart I feel I'm doing the right thing. Thats really all there is to it. Isn't that all that matters? If it bothers you to be with a woman that has slept around, it may haunt you, IMO. |

Thank you! Sorry that I posted this topic twice....another mistake on my part. It's good to see Christian people on here!

Well these is something to be said about that first "love." That was when people didn't sleep around & got married & stayed married. When you only know one person your chances of staying together are better. Maybe there is something to that. Like a preservation or something in a world gone mad.
It's not being judgemental... we make decisions every day to say no to sin &/or exposure to it. |

DEPENDS ON IF YOU ARE ASKING WHAT THE LORD SAYS IN HIS WORD.BECAUSE IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT I THINK.AND IF YOU BELIEVE THE BIBLE?IM NOT JUDGING YOU IF YOU DONT.THE BIBLE SAYS WHEN WE ARE SAVED WE ARE MADE WHOLE. THE LORD TOLD THE PROSTITUTE TO GO AND SIN NO MORE.I THINK ITS A COOL THING YOU ARE DOING.I THINK GOD WILL HONOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP WHEN YOU FIND THE ONE HE HAS PLANNED FOR YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR OBEDIENCE.AND IN A TIME OF DIVORCE AND BREAK UP OF THE FAMILLY. THAT WOULD BE A REAL GOOD THING

If you feel tempted by it... definitely, don't do it! Otherwise, who cares, just be a great witness for her!

I would comment here that the older we get, the harder it will be to find someone that is still a virgin. I'm not saying those people aren't out there - but I'm am being realistic.
I wish you well in finding such a woman though. |

Seek God on it and do what you feel is best. As long as you're not passing judgment on ladies who aren't virgins, your decision is nothing more than a choice you have made for yourself personally. If anyone gives you a hard time, politely tell them to take a long walk off a short pier. ;)
30, F, waiting until marriage. |

You know bro that is a good topic. I myself turned my life around 3 years ago and decided my next relationship would be godly, having just been divorced at the time. I ended up going to some mega churches and the word was solid and truthful but the more time i spent in church the more i realized..... the people in church aren't very different from the people in the world. As a matter of fact they are pretty much the same people. So i haven't even so much as been on a date in over 3 years. my point is live a godly life and trust in Him and his plan will be revealed, but be careful not to become hard hearted. Don't get me wrong i'm blessed daily and thank Jesus for everything, but this is an issue i'm dealing with more or less also so i understand.
