Can't argue with that sort of bush loving.
Nope..not even a little... But this is the political thread and not the sex & dating thread. Come to think of it a post in that thread with the same title might spawn an interesting series of replies. |

We have not been attacked in this country again since 9/11.
I thank Mr. President Bush for that and I hope President Obama can keep the country as safe. |

The planning happened while President Clinton was in office, this has been confirmed by the government. I think Bush for many things and I'm sure the people of Iraq, especially the Kurds, do too. President Clinton had opportunities to stop OBL but refused to take the action needed. If President Bush had the same opportunities to stop OBL as President Clinton had, Pres Bush certainly would have done so. |

9/11 occurred on Bush's watch.
The intelligence was there...just not his. Please read the 9/11 commission report before repeating this Bush kept us safe propaganda. If anything Bush's actions on the international stage have made us more not less of a target. |

The Bush Administration knew months before the 9/11 attacks that Osama bin Laden's network were planning to hijack US passenger planes. They allowed it to happen. Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis have been killed because of the unjust war. I'm sure the people of Iraq are real thankful. |

We have not been attacked in this country again since Pearl Harbor, thought somebody about FDR, on 911. I doubt 911 would even happen if we didn't have the current team in the office. |

Lynann- Would you please further share with us who Rep. John Conyers, Jr., democrat, MI (author of the piece you cite in your link)is? Perhaps I can lend some assistance out of liberal minded "fairness". We wouldn't want to give the gentle reader the impression you actively participate in propaganda, now would we?
http://brookesnews.com/081905conyers.html http://aeonweb.ws/more.php?id=767_0_1_0_M (From above link)"Conyers landed on Judicial Watch’s “Ten Most Corrupt Politicians” list as a “dishonorable mention.” Here’s why: It appears Conyers, who is now Chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee, repeatedly violated the law and House ethics rules, forcing his staff to serve as his personal servants, babysitters, valets, and as campaign workers while on the government payroll." A minor case of the pot calling the kettle a community organizer (community organizer= republican code word for "black" for you David Patterson, democrat, governor, NY, followers) wouldn't you say? |

More on this and Conyers later...for now I gotta say...being on a watch list means in some cases you are doing things right.
Conyers was the author of this report but it's conclusions were not reached by him alone. Committee Members Democrats Conyers Hon. Conyers Jr. Chairman (D) Michigan, 14th Berman Hon. Berman (D) California, 28th Boucher Hon. Boucher (D) Virginia, 9th Nadler Hon. Nadler (D) New York, 8th Scott Hon. Scott (D) Virginia, 3rd Watt Hon. Watt (D) North Carolina, 12th Lofgren Hon. Franks (R) Arizona, 2nd Gohmet Hon. Gohmert (R) Texas, 1st Jordan Hon. Jordan (R) Ohio, 4th At any rate Conyers is abit of a contradiction. He has been an unflagging representative for the state and for the auto industry. (at times in term of the auto industry to it's and his detriment change wise) He also was a person who called for the reinstatement of the draft. Why? Well Conyers reasoning might be to subtle for some to understand but his point is that we ask a few to make great sacrifices while others sit on their asses. But...have no fear...the economy and cuts to education funding along with lowered enlistment standards will soon increase the size of the military...but that's another post. But...then you call Senator Stevens a hero don't you? |
