Hey parents!!
Just curious.....how many of you guys have children who have half
siblings?

How does that affect your family?

I have 3 siblings from my mom and 2 from my dad.
So i have ALL half siblings.

Three cheers for broken and re-glued homes!
hehe.

i have children who do...we have a large family. raegan has two
brothers, jordan and caitlyn have a sister and brother...and who knows
about charissa, since i haven't seen her father since i was seventeen.

my brother and sister are both half, as well...my sis and i have no
extras, but my brother has an extra brother and sister that he is pretty
close with...we all blend.

children are pretty adaptable, and we just open our arms to all of them.

t does not effect my family in any way, we do not and have not ever
looked at it as having different parents,,, We are family in all sense
of the word, We really never thought about it any other way..Just as
with My Ex-husbands first Child I did not give birth to him yet he is my
son and have always treated him that way not different than my 4 that I
gave birth too... Family is Family we are a group of individuals that
have blended into a whole,,, Quite Beautiful if I say so myself...

i listen to the television, and they refer to people as "my half-sister"
or "half-brother"...i can't even imagine thinking that way.

it must just be a reminder of the plot line...as all my children are
wonderful and my siblings, as well.

My sister has a half sister somewhere. she never met her though, I hope
she finds her soon. I didnt get really close to my brothwer and sister
that I dont live with til I was older. I am super close to that family
now.

Their Mom's name is missy, so now I call her "missy-mommy"
She absolutely LOVES it!

and my youngest sister i share my mom with, we look like TWINS.

Family is awesome, regardless of percentage of blood, hehe.

I have 2 older half sisters I've never met. Thats very hard for me. I
have a whole brother theres 10 years between us, but were close. I have
5 children. My oldest has one dad who never sees her. Then my next 3
have the same dad. Then my youngest has a differant dad than my other 4.
The only ones dad that sees them is my 3 middle ones. I could easily
date or marry a man with children though. I've always wanted a big
family.

My daughter has been an "only child" all her life. She met her "father,"
who abandoned her (and me) from the time I told him I was pregnant with
his child, when she was 28 years old, for the first time. The next day,
she met his other children, whom he had in the ensuing years after she
was born.

They had no idea they had an older sister, but she knew she had
half-sibs, pretty much from the get-go. She was very excited to see how
much she looked like him, and them -- especially since she looks a lot
more like him than she does like me.

My son and daughter have a half sister. I get along with half brothers
and sisters just as about well as I got along with my step brother and
only one full blood older sister. We all fight like cats and
dogs.laugh Actually, I just got back from visiting my mom and her
youngest son. Mom called me over to pick up my electric bill. First
thing she did was make fun of my hair. I picked up the bill and asked my
younger brother who used to have long hair why is it the first thing
they notice is your hair. He just laughed. He lives there I
don't.laugh

I have a half sister, and a stepsister, that are my sisters, and I take
care of them both equally, I am always here for them.
I also have a stepdaughter who is 31, me and her mother divorced when
she was three, but I am still her daddy, and she is still my baby girl.
Family is family

All three of my children have different daddies, so they are half
siblings from the get go. Amanda has at least 2 sisters and 1 brother
from her dad, Brad only has my two girls, as far as I know and Marie
Claire only have Amanda and Brad.

But... as I have no have children and they are all mine, they are full
siblings... as if I was able to reproduce by myself... Hell, I was able
to raise them alone, might as well had them all alone!
