If your boss had the placed you worked at "blessed" by a priest? If you were not religious or did not follow the same religion as your boss? Would it upset you?

Wouldn't bother me. On another note priests are Catholic (laugh laugh I'm not Catholic but I was raised Catholic and cried til I was 3 and slept til I was 18. Got nothing out of it.) Losthuh

OK so what if you still were a practicing Catholic and your boss was ... Jewish and had a Rabbi come bless your office?

If someone doesn't believe what difference will it make to them, i would understand to a certain degree (even if i find it stupid) that a religious person might get upset if his workplace was blessed by another religion but if you believe your religion is the only one whatever other religion say or do should not matter to you the owner of the only true religion frustrated frustrated

I can't imagine why it would bother me, but then I don't know your boss either. I might think he was a bit strange, but if he wasn't a flaming butt head I think I would just let him be.

Curious why you ask, does it bother you? Would you tell us why? Maybe you know something that we aren't picking up on...

I personally feel it should be kept out of the work place. The work place is open to all of employees and religion is a protected right to all of them.

I know this happened to someone I know... And an employee ended up getting offended and quit over it and is filing an EOC claim.
I don't think I would take it that far, but then again... I wouldn't have brought a priest into the work place.

That reminds me of the priest blessing the house at the beginning of the movie, "The Amityville Horror".

Ah now you see, you had a point I didn't immediately see. Well now I was thinking more in line with a priest's blessing which from what I remember is pretty simple, but then thinking what if my boss wanted to have some animal sacrificial ritual at work.. hmmm, that would freak me out a bit, so maybe your right. Should be kept out.

How about when you weren't there?
After all if he did it in the absence of the employees and they didn't know it was blessed ..... hmmm thinking..

It really would not bother me, but I would act like it did. I say stuff like: are you trying to insult me or you did you not just go for the full excorism on yourself or keep complaining about weird stuff and tell them they angered the spirits.

If anyone else's actions (your boss', for example) aren't hurting others or attempting to make them adhere to some particular doctrine, why even bother caring?
