I am curious...

what has your religion done to make the world a better place?

(not what its originator has done what the religion has done in the originators absense)

Religion has done nothing but make the world worse as a whole. Look at all these wars, most happen over some religious belief and reason.

What of all the food programs in africa? Are they not doing good?

Relegion itself was never the true reason for war... Wars are fought because someone wants something someone else has... Relegion is simply used to excite the population to support the theft.

it creates love and understanding, we must put our faith in something besides man. You have to admit if there wasent any religion this world would have no one to be there when all eyes are on you and shacking there heads. if you ever go to church it does make you feel better. Do you think man does this for every one ???no

I feel religion is wrongly used...as for me it has made me more forgiving and less judgmental of others.. I think we should all live and let live..Just cuz you feel something is wrong does not mean it is...people fear what they do not understand... I feel now as a child of God I too can befriend a person that calls herself a witch and God will love me no less...

the point of religion isn't to make this world a better place. the point is to accept that this world is disposable and worthless. why care about this world when there is a ready made perfect world in the afterlife.

Some of the finest art and music the world has ever seen has been inspired by Christianity.

Each relegion has its own inspirational and awe-inspiring art... so what?

Not material good but true good... where is it...

Where has relegion promoted the advancement of mankind?(without asking to rule it).

Ok but that doesn't answer the question "what has your religion done to make the world a better place? "

And correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't "man" (women included of course) have there "hands on" religion. So that would mean that man ****ed that up too, wouldn't it?

the point of religion isn't to make this world a better place. the point is to accept that this world is disposable and worthless. why care about this world when there is a ready made perfect world in the afterlife.

But you do not live in the after life until (duh) AFTER your life is done here. Why wait?

Why not make it a better place here so that the transition to the afterlife is but a comfortable step through the veil.

From what I have seen the point of RELIGION is to control the masses for the benefit of the few...

What does that have to do with the messages of the prophets which mankind has turned into religion?

I've never been comfortable with the fact that religeon is the biggest business in America due to the common belief that we must all go to a particular location where we can pray and donate in order to convince ourselves and others that we believe and are good people.

What religeon does acomplish is; it often manages to keep most people centered and doing better deeds and treating other people better. It is my belief that religeon is inside each and every one of us at our own desired level and goes wherever we go. If religeon stops one murder out of a hundred, it has made a positive impact on the world.

But what if religion stops 1 murder and causes 10,000.

the problem with the question is that there will be those who see the good of the ideas within a religion and those who see what the people of the religion have done

what it comes down to is ideas are good people are bad..but give me a little longer and I can give you a real answer * Our Blog

than maybe somebody or group of somebodies are misinterpreting its' purpose.
Clash of religeons and beliefs has alwas been an issue and instead of focusing on what they believe, often groups focus too much on their neighbors beliefs...
