Do you smile and put on a good face around your friends even when you are in pain to avoid burdening them with your problems?

Nope. The expressions on my face have been likened to that of "The Terminator", "Robocop", and "Keenu Reeves in practically every movie he's done in his career".

Do you smile and put on a good face around your friends even when you are in pain to avoid burdening them with your problems? Yes. My issues aren't my friends. I will gladly help them with their issues but when it comes to mine then thats my problem to deal with. No one elses. |

Do you smile and put on a good face around your friends even when you are in pain to avoid burdening them with your problems? Always... but there are a couple friends, who know me too well... and they will notice if my smile or happiness is genuine or not. Then of course, they are going to try and find out what is going on. I love those guys... Can't fool them... |

Do you smile and put on a good face around your friends even when you are in pain to avoid burdening them with your problems? yeah, they try to be really helpful but I'm pretty good at pretending I'm not sick at all. So they pretty much treat me like everyone else. Except for the times when I can't get out of bed and then they are good about stuff like bringing me cigarettes and picking up food for me |

Almost every day. If I didn't, I probably wouldn't have any friends. lol

I think to have a friend you have to be a friend so constantly telling someone you are endureing something they can do nothing about is being selfish. My close friends know when it is a particularly tough and try to share positives.

Yes, but it's mainly because I'd want them to do the same because I just don't want to be bothered with their crap

Do you smile and put on a good face around your friends even when you are in pain to avoid burdening them with your problems? Always, but it prevents intimacy because it prevents people knowing the real me: seeing that I have sadness, worry, and sorrow in my own life; seeing that I am not perfect; seeing that I am just as lonely. It prevents honest feedback when I mess up, it prevents people opening up and being real to me. It keeps others at a distance. Preventing them from getting too close means there's less chance I'll be hurt. It also means a lot of loneliness in life. |

Transparent. |
