why are you asking us if you dont care what others think? I was wondering that, too. I don't give a F^ck what people think. I'm just wondering why everyone thinks its their place to tell someone else how to live. if youre wondering then you care? Maybe you care because youre a human being and other people matter to you. maybe youre not the monster you think you are. maybe you have feelings....maybe? perhaps? could be?

It all depends on what kind of business you have. People skills makes a difference if you actually deal with the public on a daily basis it can make or break a business. Maybe that is what he is talking about. In order to increase your business maybe he thinks you should start with the way you deal with others. I pay someone to deal with the public for me. I know I'm not a people person. I stay eather inmy shop or in my office. I just build cars or deal with the distributers. |

It all depends on what kind of business you have. People skills makes a difference if you actually deal with the public on a daily basis it can make or break a business. Maybe that is what he is talking about. In order to increase your business maybe he thinks you should start with the way you deal with others. I pay someone to deal with the public for me. I know I'm not a people person. I stay eather inmy shop or in my office. Humm well maybe that is what he meant by it in order for you to get out and meet with those you deal with within your business.  People are surprised at times the difference it makes when the owner actually deals with those that they do business with at times. |

People who are bad people dont ask the questions you asked. they dont care. you seem to care. you dont want to but you do. youre human and youre not as bad as you think you are, just accept it. ok that is all i have in the psycho babble department. So I got told by my father today that I need to work on my people skills. My question is; Why the hell do I eed to be worried about what other people think of me? Lacking people skills can effect relationships. I don't have relationships so thats not an issue. How can you not have relationships in life? |

I try very hard to stay away from most people. I just bought a pool table to putin my office so I don't have to go out to play pool anymore. |

The following is applicable to nearly all professions or lifestyles -- If other people like you more, it's easier to: Convince someone of something. Have a better relationship with strangers, friends, coworkers, and family. Make more friends - which can make life interesting in unexpected ways. Of course, you can live your life saying other people's opinions of you don't matter, and you'll still probably do okay. You've done fine so far, right? But, people tend to want to live life trying to do what's advantageous. I see no benefit in completely disregarding others opinions of you, where as the opposite attitude can be like a huge, open door to all sorts of opportunities. It's an easy choice for me... Now, I know I'm overstepping some boundaries here, but... I don't know how your relationship with your father is, but if he's telling you to work on your people's skills, maybe that says something. I know I'm talking about your business and about things I don't know about you, but I'll still say it, in case I've guessed right: Changing your attitude may make your relationship with your father better. You may be too prideful to admit it, but you may like that. |

P.S. I don't mean we have to be obsessed about what others think, but instead, mindful. There are benefits to having people who like you and are willing to help you out.

We all have issues and if you pretend you dont care what others think then you start lashing out for attention and do stupid stuff. I was stupid once and i cried out in a bad way. Just admit you care about what SOME people think. It's not a big deal. really Im takig the pic down in 5 minutes so look quick. Im not looking for attention just trying to make my point to drifters. .... I took it down now. |

I realy wanted to know where some people get off trying to tell someone else how they should be. 9 times out of 10 they don't even have their own $hit straight, why are they trying to tell other people how to live? I don't try to tell people how to live. I'll give examples of my life and experiances and then let them make their own decision. But only if they ask. If they don't its none of my business. |
