I would talk to her and make sure she understands all the facts....with a hippy middle name makes it hard for me lol
Oh and would you all have the same answers if you were in a state where it was legal?

Would probably help if some of these people actually looked into it more than what they saw on TV.smokin

Kind of a no-brainer huh?

Filmfreek,

I still don't want my child smoking pot.

my brother in law used to be a big pot head (self proclaimed) but he would kill the kids if they touched it. he had to quit for work but when he retires he wants to start growing it.

the neighbor kid (well he's 20) does nothing but smoks pot. the only time he gets off his butt is to get more.

i can't smoke it myself so i can't say much about it, but my son knows that as long as he is around me or in my house....NO

i was speaking about my son. not just with any drugs....but with alcohol, sex, anything. i want him to think about his actions before he does something. and if he does something wrong....then he pays the consequences.

my brother in law smoked for a long time and he is very smart. btw

yellowrose10's photo
Fri 03/20/09 02:42 PM
i don't have a problem with pot....except my body doesn't like it....but as long as it is illegal....then i would have a problem with my son smoking it.

as far as alcohol etc....that wasn't the topic. but under age drinking (and drunk driving) are illegal....so is underage smoking. i expect my son to obey the laws/rules like he should or he will face the consequences.

if my son never drunk, smoked cigs/pot....i would be very happy....but that isn't always realistic. he is 18 now and he has to use his head for more than a hatrack or get in trouble

Rapunzel,

What does all of that have to do with parents not wanting their children to smoke pot?

I want my child to make it though high school without drugs or alcohol. If I didn't want that, I would not be doing my job as a parent.
