I think Chaos Theory, starring Ryan Reynolds, was a really great example of what love really is. The guy goes through so much inner turmoil, sinking into madness, before he realizes that in spite of everything, he does love his wife and family.

Don't be dumb. Movies don't define what love is. It's just a stupid fantasy of what fake is. I mean, it's just like peace, you wear it on your shirt- that's it. Love isn't defined by a movie. someone has been burned in their life time..a movie can perfectly show what love should be. mabey most people dont do it like they should or how its shown in the movies..but they can.. i was happy to see someone finally say the lake house..imean yea parts of that would never happen..but they were in love with someone that they couldnt even see..it goes to show when you know you know. and you dont need to do all the marterial things to have love or get love. |

Notebook is typical answer.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind will always be a fave just for the creativity..but not DEFINING love. hmmm.... Pride & Prejudice is closer...shows the confusion very well and the beauty of it all. A Life Less Ordinary with Ewan Mcgregor..hysterical..its about love....not quite my choice though now that I think about it. I GOT IT!!!! Feast of Love. It shows multiple relationships in one movie. The old married couple. the young blossoming couple. the cursed man who dates all the wrong people the lesbian couple. and the cheating couple. if you've seen the movie and know I missed one- let me know. but that by far is a great movie! |
