Christmas is supposed to represent "good will toward men (and women)", isn't it? Not just good will toward Christian people. It became a legal and, thus, secular holiday based on the premise of treating others as we wish to be treated ourselves, and doesn't exclude people of other faiths or no faith at all. I know good people from other faiths. One, a Jew, treated his mostly Christian employees with the greatest of respect, giving them presents and a paid week off work to celetrate their holiday. Do Christian employers behave in the same manner toward their employees of other faiths? Not that I've seen. I suspect that it won't be long before Walmart will even be open on Christmas, too, depriving them of the only time of the year they have left to congregate with their loved ones. Do you fear radical Islamic people? Then you'd be wise to fear radical Christians, too.

you people completely missed the point
being that you cann't figure it out i'll help

Christmas is the most celebrated day we have.
followers of Christ brought it together.

so put whatever twist, spin,or angle you wish but the fact still remains YOU CANN'T HAVE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT CHRIST

IF you belittle that then your just a sheep following what your neighbors doing and have no individualality so you should pick another day to give your crap to each other then, but no you want to celebrate my saviors day and splatter it with your idea of what it should rather than what it is

i just want to add that this country was founded on CHRISTIAN BELIEFS not ala, budda or any other religous figure and it was the founding fathers, CHRISTIANS for the most that wrote in you can worship whoever you want

IF YOU DON'T LIKE HE THOUGHT OF CHRISTMAS (CHRIST'S B-DAY) DON'T CELEBRATE IT

Just so you know, without Christ it would still be Yule, and many, many people would have had a longer life if they hadn't been killed by Christians because they didn't want to abandon their native beliefs.
Yule existed long, long before Christianity was even thought of.

Uhh, its that Creation guy, hes generated another thread. You Christians only have yourselves to blame for the commercialism due to turning Saint Nicolas into Santa and that just mushroomed out of control. Its your own doing. happy

Oh yeah thats rights...and being a christian makes you an individual. Ha ha, you make me laugh.

Isnt Jesus also know as the Shepherd?

You say that i sin..
You say that I'm bound for hell..
For when your judgement condems you..
I shall see you there.

Whats wrong with minding your own business? It's not of your concern what your neighbor celebrates. Get over it. why would I tell my son some fictional story about jesus being born? He wasn't even born on christmas. All lies!!

I also feel that Christians should butt out of Yule and those that observe it. It is the origional holiday. Christmas was adapted from this Pagan ritual observance of the Winter Solstice. All you did was add Jesus and Santa onto it. You have yours and we have ours. Leave it alone. That is why the expression "Happy Holidays" is appropriate at this time of the year. There are MANY different spiritualistic views and observances that are celebrating different aspects of the season. Its not solely about Jesus. He more than likely was not even born in December but it was easier for the Christians to commandeer an already established seasonal festival that was celebrated by the Pagans..
